The benefits of technological advances in schools are undeniable.  Technology promotes inclusion, development of digital literacy skills, and exposes students to globalized learning that extends beyond the confines of the school building. There exists a proliferation of online schools and COVID-19 has forced teachers to develop new modalities of instruction. Whereas traditional CATE education addressed sectors such as auto-tech, cosmetology, and horticulture among other areas, there is an emerging need to explore 21st Century career pathways such as mechatronics, video game and software design, and health sciences.
