         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Hand Hygiene:</strong></p><p><em>Wash hands before and after treating each patient. before putting on gloves and again immediately after removing the gloves. After skin makes physical contact with objects likely to be contaminated by blood, or any other bodily fluids.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>PPE</strong>:</p><p><em>Use gloves during situations that may involve possible contact with blood or bodily fluids. Use protective clothing to protect skin and clothing during procedures when you may come into contact with bodily fluids. Use mouth, nose, and eye protection during procedures.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Sharps:</strong></p><p><em>Consider sharp items that are contaminated with the patient's bodily fluids as potentially infective. Do not recap used needles by using both hands or any other technique that involves directing the point of the needs toward any part of the body. Place used disposable syringes and needles, scalpel blades, and other sharp items in appropriate puncture-resistant containers.</em></p>]]></description>

         <title>Initial Care/Post Care</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Initial Care:</strong></p><p><em>Open wounds should be cared for immediately, and treated as if they have been contaminated with micro organisms. The wound should be cleaned with copious amounts of soap and water or sterile solution to minimize the chance of infections. Sterile dressing to keeps wounds clean, air-tight and water-tight, antibacterial ointments are effective in limiting surface bacterial growth.</em></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Post Care:</strong></p><p><em>Deep lacerations, incisions, or puncture wounds may require some sort of manual closure using sutures. Physician determines the severity of the wound whether sutures are needed to close the wound, sutures should be put in within 12 hours following injury, fine suture material and minimal tightening limit any additional tissue damage, inflammation, and scarring. Physician may decide the the torn tissue may be approximated using steri-strips, butterfly bandages, or skin glue.</em></p>]]></description>
