    • I think the overall message the author wants to convey is that there is too much plastic in the ocean because it shows how much plastic there is in the ocean compared to other things because it really gives us a good understanding of why this problem is so bad and how much plastic there really is.

    To tell us what kind of plastic it is.

    Find a plastic container in the classroom (water bottle, hand sanitizer, etc.) and determine the plastic code on the bottle. How should that container be recycled?
    The expo whiteboard spray has a 2 on it which means it is HDPE and it is safe, not flammable, and can handle extreme cold.     They show the piles of plastic that get thrown into landfills and I could recreate it by showing a pile of plastic and then putting all of it in the trash can instead of the recycling bin.
