discrimination is where you treat someone different due to others just because of their different characteristics. They may have a different race or even a different religion and get treated unfairly.This can be in many different places such as a workplace or any location but its all not acceptble. Being treated less or unfaily based on this sexuality,disability or even housing discrimination.

direct discrimination is a form discrimination in which an individual is treated differently in an unfair manner due to their different characteristics. this could be because they are are a different race or maybe even because they have a different religion ,but there bare many reasons as to why someone may face direct discrimination.An example is having less favourable treated because you have a disability , this could happen in your workplace and your employers may not converse with you as much as as others due to your disability.This could result into someone’s mental health getting worse which could even lead to them self isolating themselves because they are afraid it’ll happen again.

Indirect discrimination

Indirect discrimination is another form of discrimination is to do with the rules and policies put in place for and not catering to the people with different sexualities,races or even religions .An example could be not being able to go on unnecessary breaks which may be unfair to the people with certain religions which require them to pray at certain periods of time .It may not be intentional but u still will liable he individuals at an advantage because it isn't fair to them .Because it is indirect it can occur a lot and the individual may not realise that they're making it harder for the other person.This could make some feel very down at their work place because they could feel like they aren’t understood .

Harassment

Harassment is one of the forms of discrimination the difference is that this is against the law and is in no circumstance acceptable .There are many different types of harassment which involves making comments or making sexual acts. One of the types is sexual harassment which can happen to both men and women at any age ,this is when someone creates and uncomfortable environment by making sexual comments or even by degrading them.There are many forms of harassment where different forms of unwanted behaviour take pace in different settings.Experiencing this could lead to trauma and cause many different mental health problems for the individual who has been harassment.

Discrimination

One of the things you could do to challenge discrimination is report the incident to a higher authority so that they can put things in place to stop it happen or even prevent any other acts of discrimination.Doing so will also reduce the amount of conflict that could be caused and will also help the situation not escalate.An example would be if it is in a school you could report it to a teacher or even a higher authority which would be either the head teacher. In which they can handle the matter in a better way and help prevent it.The same goes with police or maybe even bosses there is always someone you can report a matter to or even just to share your ideas to on how to prevent it .

Whistle blowing is one of the many ways that can really help challenge discrimination .What it dose it it helps protect the person usually employees ,that are making the complaint so that they are not subjected to any harassment or different treatment just because they have decided to make a complaint.The complaint can be made and and no one will know who will have made the complaint it will be confidential.Which means the persons identity will never be revealed
