Thank you so much for being such wonderful live-ins this year! I know it's been a tough year, but I really appreciate how each of you have advocated for the Bridge and supported all of us staffers along the way. I've made so many good memories this year at retreat and socials, and just hanging out at the Bridge. I'm so grateful for the role each of you has played in making the Bridge a welcoming, bright space. We will miss you! Please come visit next year!!

Thank you so much for creating a wonderful Bridge space this year — you’re really leaving some huge shoes to fill. From idle chats between calls to supporting me through debriefs, all of you have made me feel incredibly welcome at the Bridge and served as inspiration for my applying to be a live-in.
Thank you for hosting great socials (in coordination with our amazing social coordinators of course), taking on admin to ensure the security of the Bridge in the future, and, of course, for being such warm, empathetic, and funny people! Thank you so much for your contribution to the Bridge. I look forward to seeing all the amazing things y’all do in the future!

You guys have been such incredible leaders of the Bridge community this year. You’re all role models to us as examples of kindness and compassion, and we’re going to miss you a lot.
Jen, I’ll miss you asking me weekly gay questions.
Lily, I’ll miss you asking me to counsel you just for me to tell you you’re doing great as always.
Andrew, I’ll miss having a gay guy be forgotten before me. Now next year the next guy live in is gonna be the first one ever!

You all have done so much for the Bridge, both in your time as live-ins and as coords. I can't imagine the Bridge without you, and I'll miss you dearly. At the same time, I'm very glad that you can retire from the battlefront with admin- you've fought the good fight, and the Bridge survives another day (with four live ins!!) because of your hard work. You have truly gone above and beyond.

Thank you for fostering the Bridge community and for always opening your doors to us. Thank you for helping us all develop as counselors, for helping me throughout the years whenever I needed anything. Thank you also for letting me be in the apartment all the time :)

Lily, thank you for your constant kindness and support, for always checking in, for helping with all the events - it is so greatly appreciated.

Andrew, thank you for covering for me in the fall - I will always be grateful. Thank you for being hilarious and for enabling me during wine and whines.

Jen, I don't even know what to say. I'm so happy we got to know each other because of the Bridge and I am forever thankful that you are in my life. You've given so much, and have spearheaded the Bridge's new era. I'm sorry we never got you the Bridge Patagonias.

We are amazingly lucky to have you all as live-ins, and we'll miss you so much! Best of luck with everything that comes next :)

I've only known the three of you for a sadly short time this past quarter, but it's been such a pleasure getting to know you! You've all been so responsive and supportive to me as a new staffer @ The Bridge and have made it such a welcoming and unforgettable experience. Thank you for debriefing with me, guiding me, and simply being present with me during this time as I navigated becoming a staffer this year. There are many things that I love about being a Bridge staffer, but you guys really take the cake.

You are all very special people, and your kindness, dedication, and thoughtfulness continue to inspire me—and the rest of the staffers—every day. In a particularly difficult moment in Bridge history, you stepped up, showing us all what true leadership means. For this, and for all you do to make this world a kinder place, I could not be more grateful.

From those thoughtful debriefs with Lily, to quick chats with Andrew as he came in through the door, to crying of laughter as Jen said truly the most out-of pocket-statements, our shared moments made my shifts such a wonderful and warm experience.

So, thank you. And don't you dare be a stranger!

Y'all are absolutely incredible human beings. You give so much to everyone around you and ask for nothing in return -- it's inspiring. Selfless, kind, supportive, compassionate, caring, joyful, loving, the list could go on and on and on and on.

Thank you for grounding our community. For being a stable force throughout all the tough times and iterations of the master schedule. You glue The Bridge together and make staffers want to staff. That's a herculean effort in and of itself, yet ya'll rose to the occasion in stride.

I'll miss your presence. Please visit :) Thanks for everything, and good luck in all the places you'll go.

Hi Bridge Parents (Mom, Dad, and Other Mom-- tag yourselves),

The quarter system moves so quickly that it's hard to process when everything ends. It's going to be weird having my last shift with y'all next Monday and buzzing in a new set of live-in friends next year. Y'all have been such a core part of my staffing experience this year and an anchor for this community. Not all staffers at the Bridge has met each other, but through you guys, I feel connected to everyone. Thank you for leading with kindness, empathy, and passion through a difficult time in Bridge history.

Jen, you did my eval last year and were such a friendly first face for the Bridge. Thanks for bringing such silliness!
Andrew, I didn't know you well before this year but we are now CTL brothers. Thanks for bringing such warmth and humor!
Lily, you've always been so invested in getting the know the staffers better, and I'm so glad we got that long chat last week. Thanks for always offering to debrief :)

Andrew - All I know is that you showed up in 193A this past fall and life was good. I recall telling Natalie I liked you from day 1--you answered questions thoughtfully, you ran the course smoothly, and your middle part was fire 🔥🔥🔥. My opinion of you has only improved since then, and I'll miss your kind greetings during my shifts. May you never lose your peanut butter again.

Jen - I believe we met during my QPR training. As you spouted out-of-pocket comments with a mouthful of cottage cheese (or was it yogurt? 🤔), I recognized instantly that you were both an extremely entertaining character and an extremely experienced Bridge leader. What's become increasingly clear with time, though, is that you're also one of the most thoughtful people I know, and I trust that you'll use your unique combination of gifts to do great things.

Lily - Even before I had the chance to introduce myself to you, you knew me by name and have made me feel known ever since. You're among the warmest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and wherever you go next will become a brighter place because of you. (P.S. Sometimes I steal your deep questions to get to know people better. Thanks for that 💙)

All - It's been an honor. Can't express how lucky I feel to have known you as role models and as people. As live-ins, you've truly lived out the spirit of the Bridge--warmth, care, and empathy in all things. I pray for your future success but also that you visit us very soon. In the meantime, I'll do what I can to carry on even a tiny piece of your monumental legacy.

You will be missed :(

I'm not sure if I'll be able to fully describe the gratitude I have for y'all, but I'll do my best. From the bottom of my heart, thank y'all so much for breathing life into the Bridge and making it a safe space for me, our fellow staffers, and everyone who calls or walks in. I will forever appreciate the conversations, laughs, smiles I had with y'all along with the reassurances and advice you've given me to be a better staffer and friend.
