In Sneaky Peeky Spying, Junie B. Jones finds a new interest in spying on people. Her end goal is to find where Mrs., her teacher, lives so she can hide in her laundry basket and spy on her. When Junie B. was told she can make cookies for Grandparents day at school, she and her mom went to the store. While at the store, Junie B. saw her teacher at the store eat a grape without buying them, so she was told that's the same thing as stealing. Junie B. tried so hard to keep that secret because she was told by her mom and by the school that she isn't allowed to spy anymore so if she told someone about what Mrs. did, she would blow her cover.

Junie B. Jones' class went on a farm field trip at the end of the year in kindergarten, but Junie B. didn't want to go because she was scared of some of the animals, specifically a rooster, because of things she either watched or heard from her classmates. When her class arrived at the farm, Junie was hiding in the bus so she didn't have to go but was eventually caught. Junie got to be the tour guide alongside Farmer Flores so he could show her that the farm wasn't all that bad. throughout the tour, Junie was starting to open up to the farm a little bit, until they reached their last stop, the chicken coop. When Farmer Flores told Junie B. there was a rooster inside that chicken coop she ran away in fear, but Farmer Flores gave her a cute little peep to calm her down. She then fell in love with that little peep, up until she had to give him back to Framer Flores. Junie B. was confused as to why she had to give the peep back and Farmer Flores told her it so he can grow into a rooster. At that moment, Junie B. wasn't scared of a rooster anymore.

Junie B. Jones is finally a first-grader! She was a little nervous but once she saw Lucille everything seemed ok. Once they got to class, Junie B. found out that Lucille made new friends and claimed them as her new best friends instead of Junie B. When Junie B. went to go ride the bus, she noticed Grace is sitting with someone else, she feels like all her best friends are leaving her. She meets a new friend named Herb because they ride the same bus to school. When Junie B., teacher, Mr. Scary, gave them an assignment, Junie B. didn't do it quite right. Mr. Scary came to find that Junie B. couldn't see the board from the back of the room. Mr. Scary took her to the nurse's office so she could test her eyes and she found out she needed glasses. When she gets her glasses, she was worried that she wouldn't look good in them and everyone would make fun of her. Junie B. showed her glasses for show and tell and everyone loved the way they looked on her.

Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business

In this book, Junie B. Jones got a new baby brother. When he was born, she had to stay the night at her grandparents' house, and that next morning, her grandma came home and told her grandpa all about how cute he was. She used descriptive words such as "he's the cutest little monkey I've ever seen" so Junie B. thought he was a real monkey. Her grandpa took her to school that morning and she still hasn't seen her new baby brother. When show and tell time comes around, she tells the whole class she has a monkey for a baby brother. Her two friends, Grace and Lucille, both wanted to see her monkey baby, but Junie couldn't figure out who got to see him first. They both started giving her stuff so they could be the first ones, which eventually got Junie B. in trouble with the principal. When she explained the story to the principal, he finally explained that her brother wasn't actually a monkey. He walked her back to class and told the whole class that sometimes people use a metaphor to describe someone and it isn't to be taken literally. At the end of the story, Junie was finally able to see her new baby brother.
