This is a contrast to how my teaching has been reviewed at school; I have been told a few times that I tend to move too slow and repeat things unnecessarily. 

I think my resources were good and I put a lot of work into my whole lesson presentation and the resources I would use. Using primary sources is for me, a good way of getting those who I am teaching engaged with the content. I also think the first main activity consisted of useful resources. 

In regards to communication, I think that I communicated fairly well, but it is still quite common for me to mix up my words or even forget what I want to say. I'd like to think that I managed to keep people engaged through questioning and getting them involved, not just talking at them. 

Overall, I think my micro teaching was a relative success. There are things I definitely need to improve on, including pace and remaining calm whilst speaking. Firstly, sometimes I think there is a slight lack of clarity and I overuse the work 'okay'. I think my lack of clarity is sometimes to do with nerves and I think this is something that will gradually dissipate as I become more confident in my teaching. Using the word 'okay' less is also something I have identified that I need to focus on by expanding my teaching vocabulary. 

Furthermore, I think that I looked slightly awkward at times during the micro teaching. However, I think that I countered this to an extent by circulating around the class, ensuring that the students were on task and assisting them if need be. 

I also agree that there is definitely the need to further differentiate; more challenging extensions and activities need to be incorporated into my lesson plans. This will ensure that high ability students are engaged with the work and feel challenged. On the other hand, SEND and EAL students also need to be differentiated for appropriately to ensure that they are also able to engage with the work and do not become disengaged. 

The micro teaching highlighted for me aspects of my teaching that I think I have so far made good progress in, and also aspects where improvements are necessary.
