The Humans left because the earth has become inhabitable. The junk is as far as the eye can see. WALL-E is built and placed on earth to compact the junk. WALL-E also collects things he finds as he cleans. The humans have become very lazy. They left in a spaceship. The spaceship has seats inside that carry humans around for them and do anything they want them to do. This lack of effort is most likely directly associated to earth's demise. She is on a spacewalk repairing a panel on the Hubble Space Telescope accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski who on his final mission. Mission Control tells them to abort their spacewalk and return to the ship. Houston tells them that debris from a Russian missile strike on a satellite has caused a chain reaction. This destroyed other satellites and a huge debris field is heading right at them. Within a couple of minutes they lose contact with Mission Control. The story goes on that Matt is hit and he gets pushed away. Dr. stone then has to survive by herself. Eventually she makes it to the russian station. she manages to get in a return capsule and makes it back to earth. This movie had allot of mistakes when it comes to physics. The movie begins with jim in and his fellow astronauts walk on the moon. They are the backup to the current scheduled apollo 13 astronauts. The film show the prep that the #1 team has to go through. All of a sudden the main crew is told that they cannot go on the flight because of a fellow astronauts ear infection. The backup crew of apollo 13 is called into action. The crew practices for the mission. With days before the mission, the Flight Surgeon reveals that one of the backups has the measles and the crew has been exposed to it. The Flight Surgeon feels that since Ken Mattingly has not had the measles before, he is in serious risk of becoming sick during the mission. Jim is then given a choice, he can have Ken Mattingly replaced with his backup Jack Swigert or the Apollo 13 crew as a whole can be pushed back to a later mission. Though he is upset by the choices, Jim chooses to replace Ken. The Mission is then a go. Eventually the crew are able to successfully dock the Command Module with the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module).The mission continues toward the Moon. The crew also broadcasts a video of being inside the craft, but due to feelings that moon missions aren't exciting anymore, none of the television networks carry the transmission.After the video feed, the crew does some 'housekeeping procedures' on the ship. Jim Swigert is asked to stir the oxygen tanks. Suddenly, a loud bang is heard and the ship begins to pitch out of control. With the system buttons lighting up, and the oxygen tanks beginning to fail Mission Control springs into action, attempting to find some way to stop the leak. At the insistence of EECOM they shut down the fuel cells to prevent further leakage. However, this move comes at a price: with the fuel cells closed, that means that the moon landing will not go through. The crew makes the move...only for the oxygen level in the Command Module to continue to plummet. With 15 minutes of oxygen remaining in the Command Module an emergency transfer is made to transfer computer information and the astronauts into the LEM, utilizing it as a lifeboat. Eventually the crew are secure in the LEM and Mission Control attempt to figure out the best way to bring the men home. First they have to fix the filter to remove poisonous carbon dioxide out of the air. The LEM is not meant to filter three men so they run out of filters. They do have different filter but with a square hole not circular. Mission control figure out a solution and they fix it. Their final task is making it home. Eventually they do a slingshot around the moon and through many troubles make it back to earth. The final struggle is to test whether the blast shield is damaged during the explosion. The crew would burn up if it was damaged. They survived the re-entry and make it home safe. The apollo 13 crew are deemed national heroes for their incredible battle to make it home. To me this is my favorite space movie ever. I love the story and the struggle. Its science is very accurate and true to real science.
