Definition: Proof by verbosity, also known as proof by intimidation, is a argumentative tactic that is far too verbose and complicated to address all of the information and make an argument in turn. The use of jargen and complex words will make it difficult to follow even if it has no validity.

Connection: In the argument between Thrasymachus and Adeimantus, he insists cows moos are created by their vocal cords taking in air and sending electrical signals into their feet, creating vibrations in the ground.

Adeimantus told him he made the argument too complex and he doesn't understand his logic.

Connection: Health supplements sold on TV often feature a man or woman in a white coat who APPEARS to be a professional doctor or health specialist.
