Oh hello there 
very nice to meet you.
I am a blonde dyslexic writer
with a spontaneous point of view.

I've been on Futurelearn 
poetry was the choice.
To understand and analyse 
poets and their voice.

Long may my love linger
Poetry, prose, verse.
Fingers crossed I last eternity 
before my soul disperse.

There's so much hidden talent 
So many I've yet to see.
I just need more time to read them
I just need to be free.

Having few hours 
to refine and tweak.
Struggling to calm down
unable to speak.

Two days off 
is the only time.
To practice my craft
to create my rhyme.

It flows off the tongue
like water on lips.
Joining courses
to pick up tips.

I hope you enjoy
My adventure awaits.
I look forward to your visits
apologies for mistakes.

This is my first time
that much you will see.
I hope you are inspired and like

Where oh where have you been
Poet of gentle mind?
What thoughts and curiosities 
mesmerising and kind.

Such a keen eye
of nature and earth
Astute in observations
gifted at birth.

I was impressed you tried
to look after every man.
Regardless of riches or rags
I am now a serious fan.

To use your craft 
To educate and teach.
Those deep feelings and ideas 
Are in everyone's reach.

You just have to stop
and give earth a chance.
She will delight your spirit
Put your mind in a trance.

Tis such a shame
your not here anymore.
Oh to have many a conversation 
to listen and explore.

I would of had you visit Skipton 
Roman road is where I would took.
Encouraged you to pack some sandwiches 
and of course a little notebook.

Getting to the top
Beautiful view upon your eyes.
Heavenly stretches of mother nature 
held down sweetly by the skies.

But sadly you are not
In God's presence there you write.
Looking down upon the lands
new perspectives and sight.

The love of our toys
our favourite ones at that.
Like the ever spinning toy
or a fluffy felted cat.

We talk to each one
in hope for their reply.
And if we ever misplaced them
Oh forever we would cry.

Each doll with a pretty dress
Or a cuddly teddy bear.
With a lost eye or ripped paw
Lovingly fixed with care.

To bed they would go
wrapped up all tight.
Protect us from bad dreams
until the morning light.

We would adventure together
thick as thieves.
Together playing in the woods
amongst the branches and leaves.

Never would they let us down
Friends to the very end.
The best toys of my childhood 
Of fun and let's pretend.

We must always treasure 
our memories of our toys.
A time of pure innocence 
adventuring and Joy's.

And so when my granddaughter 
asks me a question,
holding her hands
and gets my attention.

I took in her toys
safely in her bed.
I tell them to sleep well
and kiss them on their head.

They are important to her
and important to me.
She cares for them so much
just like family.
