1. Identify the ethical issues the leaders faced?

a. Sallie Krawchec: The ethical dilemma faced by Sallie was reporting unethical activities committed by the team. Her team had sold a stable value fund to the Walmart employees which wasn’t stable. She had to make a difficult choice of whether she should disclose this unethical practice or to cover it up by putting money in the fund which would increase the fund.

2. Identify 2 negative outcomes of the of the ethical dilemma?

a. Sallie Krawchec: The ethical dilemma faced by Sallie was should she report the fraud committed by the team? One negative outcome of this is that she could risk losing her job. She was already fired from City Group for reimbursing clients for their losses. And she could be fired again for something similar again.

Another negative outcome of this could be if she disclosed this information and still kept the job she could have a bad reputation.

3. As a leader, what would you do differently to solve the dilemma?

a. Sallie Krawchec: As a leader I agree with what Sallie did. She did what was right and what had to be done. If I could do anything differently, I could maybe sit with the team and see the alternatives of what could be done before reporting it. That would give the team a chance to explain how and why they did what they did. But they would also be involved in the solution process which would make them feel less guilty about it.

1- The Ethical issue that leader faced?

The Ethical Issue that Laurie Peterson faced is that she forgot about her mission and started working like most industries.

She started catering for boys instead of girls because that they are more profitable. She though that if she created toys for boys, girls would just play too but on the other side if they created toys for girls they wont know if boys will play. She chose the easy way instead of her going with the mission and to know if boys will play or not.

2- Identify

A- The Ethical Issue the leader faced

The Ethical Issue that Laurie Peterson is that she followed the easy way and pofitble one, instead of her following what she wanted and that was to make young girls excited about science that was her main concept.

B- Two negative outcomes of the ethical Dilemma

The first one is that she is not following her mission witch was making girls love science using toys.

The second one is that based on what she know that will be profiting her creating boys toys will attract girls too, and that’s totally not what her mission is about. She confessed that she was never her authentic self because of that. If she wanted to be her authentic self she would be the change she wants to see.

3- Analyse and provide your opinion: as a leader what would you do differently to solve the dilemma?

As a leader I will still go with the mission I created, and follow the concept that I once wanted to reach, I will not obey to what is profitable instead ill work on my idea and try to make it because I need to be the change I want to see. If I didn’t start I will never know how it is like or I’m not going to accomplish what my dream.

1. Identify the ethical issues the leaders faced?

Kathryn Minshew: The main ethical issue faced by Kathryn was firing a company they had signed on to do business with due to behavior issue. The new company used to treat the employee badly but treat her nicely.

2. Identify 2 negative outcomes of the of the ethical dilemma?

a. Kathryn Minshew: The ethical dilemma faced by Kathryn was the bad behavior of the new company toward Kathryn’s junior staff which she felt bad about it. Due to which, that led to warning giving to them but the behavior continued.

b. Another negative outcome of this could be the discrimination. As the new company dealt with employees according to their position which is not acceptable. The same way of treating the staff continued which led to money refunded and contract cancellation at the end.

3. A leader, what would you do differently to solve the dilemma?

a. Kathryn Minshew:: As a leader I agree with what Kathryn did in order to protect her team. She did what was right and what had to be done. If I could do anything differently, I could try to give the ownership of dealing with this company to the senior staff to avoid loss, especially that the company was still at the first stage and revenue was needed. However, defending the team is also a profit and a future investment.

1- Ethical issue faced

Here, Soohoo noticed a defected product sample that could be harmful for its consumers. Even if the sample size was small, it would definitely be unethical for Soohoo to launch the product how it is. The decision they take will either way result in a loss, of money or clients’ trust.

2 - Soohoo decided to delay the launch in order to fix the products flaws. The defect could have been bigger than expected, which would result in a bigger issue: customers complains, spread of bad reviews that could affect their reputation etc…

But delaying the product launch probably made the customers upset and the defected merchandise cost a lot of money to the company to repair.

3- As a leader, I would have found a way to not delay the launch in order to not loose more money and not to meet customers expectation so they don’t loose interest. This way, I would have put more pressure on the factory to repair the defected products on time, instead of delaying.

I believe that customers shouldn’t have to face the consequence of a mistake made by the company, but the seller should take responsibility to minimize the negative impact they caused.

1- The Ethical Issue the leader faced

The issue that Bodge faced was that there were more tones for fair-skinned woman and there were less tone for dark-skinned woman. As back in 90’s there were less brands that use to create range of colours for dark-skinned woman. It was difficult for them to have too many shades as a business perspective. But, Bodge made it a priority to have more shades available for dark-skinned woman.

2- Identify 2 negative outcomes of the Ethical Dilemma

The negative outcome that Bodge faced was she had less shades available for dark-skinned woman and that would lead to loss in the business.

The second negative outcome is that Bodge did not have more shades available for dark-skinned and there were no brands that created lots of shades for dark-skinned woman but Bodge made it a priority that she will have more shades available for dark-skinned woman.

3- As a leader, what would you do differently to solve the dilemma?

As a leader, I would do a research to see which all brands make what type of shades and what are the different shades they make. After this research I would have a meeting with several brands to checkout with their shades and then select shades that are needed for dark-skinned woman and make shades available for both dark-skinned woman and fair-skinned woman so that it helps me profit the business and no customer gets upset or does not visit the Saloon.
