The amount of extra greenhouse gas we release is creating a more acidic ocean. As the ocean absorbs the extra gases and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere it creates a warmer ocean,  melting the arctic ice we rely on to cool the world's oceans. LINK
The melting ice slowly becomes thinner as the ocean absorbs more gases, many arctic animals depend on the ice for things such as breeding, hunting, and rest. Entire habitats are vanishing and ecological communities are being torn apart. Many ice-dependent animals are suffering without the ice and populations are decreasing. LINK
With the lack of arctic ice, the ice-dependent animals struggle to find food. The ice they used to sneak up on prey is melting away leaving them to swim and find ice now exposes them to their prey making it extremely difficult to hunt their main sources of food. LINK

Getting rid of carbon dioxide which is an important greenhouse gas, can greatly impact the planet and make it inhospitably cold. Carbon dioxide does a good job in helping trap heat in our atmosphere while preventing the planet from extremely cold temperatures. LINK
When we cut down trees and forests, stored carbon is released into the atmosphere as CO2. The trees provide us the lumber we use for building construction, furniture manufacture, tools, sporting equipment, and thousands of household items. While using the wood pulp to make paper. LINK
