After they would note down some notes and then the groups would converge back to class the next lesson and <mark>each group shares their findings with the rest of the class. </mark> Each group would have a secretary and a chairperson. A projector would be availed for the groups that want to use PowerPoint presentations. <br><mark>I would harmonise their presentations and enable them point out significance(s) of each property of water presented about.</mark></div>]]></description>

I would use story telling whereby it says learners should listen to a story told by the teacher and then the learners should retell it. So l would modify it by recording the story in advance using a laptop or phone then play it in class. After that the learners would be asked to retell the story.&nbsp;<br><br>I plan to use this when our college opens in January. I am optimistic that it will be a lively lesson.</div>]]></description>

Let the learners identify the similarities and differences between plants growing in different ecological zones from their observations. Download let them Download the TESSA OER and study Characteristics of Xerophytes, Hydrophytes and Halophytes. They should then classify the plants in the picture, home environment as Xerophytes, Hydrophytes and Halophytes based on their observable characteristics.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Using TESSA OERs to Improve Spelling Skills of OLA Presby Basic Four Pupils in Ghana.&nbsp;<br>"Within the society, the ability to spell words correctly identifies the educated person, because society places such importance in accurate spelling. Some people form positive or negative opinions about an individual solely on the basis of the spelling skills he / she displays in written communication “Farris, 1993. Ferris also adds that proper spelling serves as a courtesy for the writer’s audience, the reader, because the correct spelling of words eases the entire reading process.&nbsp; The problem identified was that pupils in Basic Four of OLA Presby Basic School, Cape Coast, Ghana, were unable to spell and write English words correctly when the words are dictated. The Action Research design was, therefore, used in this study. The design was chosen among others, such as pure research for its importance to the teacher and the teaching and learning process in general. In the school situation Action Research encourages teachers to be aware of their own practices, to be mindful of that practice and to be prepared to change.&nbsp; Observation (of pupils ability to recognise words, pupils ability to memorize words, pupils attentiveness during spelling periods, the writing speed of pupils, etc.), interviews and tests, were the research instruments used during the study.&nbsp; The Literacy model of the Teacher Education in Sub Saharan Africa's (TESSA) Open Educational Resources (OERs) was employed to help improve the spelling skills of Basic Four pupils of OLA Presby Basic School, cape Coast, Ghana.&nbsp; It was concluded,&nbsp; among others that class teachers in the lower primary do not pay much attention to spelling and writing and that teachers should pay more attention to the teaching and learning of spelling at the lower primary is recommended. Teachers in other parts of Africa could employ some of the strategies and teaching approaches available within the TESSA OERs.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

The next class I'm taking through micro teaching, I will borrow a few ideas on how to help them use the local materials to incorporate in their micro teaching lesson. The idea of bringing locally accessed materials and brainstorming with the students on how they can be used and then asking them to prepare a lesson where they will make use of those materials is a great idea. I can use my phone to provide photos from the local environment to beef up the resources available to them. Hopefully this would build their confidence in sourcing materials from the local environment to make their lessons LCE</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I personnally like TESSA Numeracy, section one of "Exploring shapes, because this concept is often difficult for teachers to be taught. TESSA presentes it in the way that enables more manipulation using the learners' immediate environment. This approach facilitates also the task for the teacher. hoewer before implementing this course, i realized that shapes presented on pages 9 and 10 belongs to colonial epoch and I could hardly identify some of them. I chose to adapt these objects into familiar one for learners.   Further "Flat surface" on page 8 is rewritten in order learners avoid confusion with "curved surface". And the third thing I add to this lesson is the exploration of shapes on an interactive Whiteborad.</div>]]></description>
