How do absences/make-up opportunities work when a SLO is an essay? Essays take students multiple days of planning, writing, and revising. If as student is absent for all but one or two of the work days for an essay, are we required to include them in the SLO? If they are absent for all of the work days but then present on a "make-up day," are we required to use whatever they can write that day as their essay?
