It would be nice to have an Empathy Walk at the park in town. People take pictures there, it's typically quiet and it feels peaceful there. It's a very common and well-known place, but people only really go there for pictures and it's mostly in the evening or at night. It's best to do the Walk at during the day.

We have a historic tour for important locations in black history, so I think that that is the best option. We also have many historic homes and museums that would work as well.

Neighborhoods past downtown

My city has a downtown section. In it are several neighborhoods that are considered middle to upper class. Just outside of downtown, however, there are neighborhoods that would be considered lower class or poor. There is also a distinction in the majority of race that lives in each. Going on an empathy walk in those "poor" neighborhoods would open someones eyes to new experiences.

There are some parks that and some play grounds were there are a lot of space to walk around. The parks have a lot of trees and peace full areas to walk and think.

The Hill District in Pittsburgh was once a thriving site for African American residents. Then, some city-led projects took that space and disrupted the living situation for many people--AND it disrupted a vibrant community. That area never really recovered. I think it would be important to learn more about the location and to have empathy for the people who lived there and were harmed by the decisions of city officials.

In the savannah located in my country's capital, as the root of change can readily occur in the 'heart' of the nation to therefore encourage and make a statement of the importance of empathy, conflict resolutions and inter-linking with peacebuilding that would be visibly noticed from the working class, the educational institutions, the media broadbands, the political personnel and the elderly, as the capital is the symbol of conveying this beacon of change and development in our community.

I think it would be good to go on an empathy walk in my community as there is many tensions amongst people and it would be good to know each person's point of view and what they are experiencing.

I would maybe want to go walk through the less popular areas of my town, maybe the less wealthy area to see the different lifestyles people live and what it may be like living in an area other than my own. I feel that this would allow me to be more open minded and appreciate everything I have just as someone else should appreciate what they have.

I would say in my neighborhood because of the calm environment and how quiet it is. There are so many rivers, plants, trees, etc. and, since it's so quiet, it allows people to reflect without loud noise and take in the fresh air.

I think the different neighborhoods around the different schools would be a good place for an empathy walk to occur as it inspires people about future generations and their potential as well as showing different demographics and the structures behind housing in some towns.

It is a bit dangerous to go walking in my country, however it is very freeing and also exhilerating, owing to this fact. Once in a while, a hike with family members or even a walk on the beach is quite therapeutic, however, nighttime walks are my favourite.
