Kids having to live with being sick. Constantly having to just follow their parents from place to place being evicted after 3 months. Help people around the block to get their furniture back

These children suffered from malnutrition and diseases. They had to stay alone to fight it while their parents were out working. Since their parents were trying to gain money they did not even have enough to earn money to be able to feed their children.

Here this photo by Justin Myers is depicting how much of an impact the great depression had on these young individuals. They were left alone and scared awaiting their parents' return. The children had nothing to do and could not help so they just were left worried and sick.

This poem is super sad because it is showing the thoughts of a child during these awful times for them. Not knowing whether or not he should go and help his family or if he should stay home so that it's one less body to feed. Seeing other kids in box cars, wanting to flee but malnourished too. Health conditions troubling him, unable to be saved by the little pieces of bread his father brought home.

Here it is showing how sick children were. Most diagnosed with illnesses and unable to fight them. Many were just unable to beat these diseases that had attacked their bodies.

Here this political cartoon is depicting a leader bringing these children to the park for fresh air since they did not get almost any of that during these bad times.

This poem is describing how this boy being home alone hungry and not knowing what to do. He smells food wanting to go follow it and eat it. Thinking he is going to die because of how hungry he is.

Here in this video the kids are either being carried or are helping around their parents. In one case one kid was sick so could not do anything or the kids were too small. They were sad and lonely.
