The Tennis Court was built in 1686 near the Palace of Versailles. One Month after the Estates General meeting at Versailles, a member of the Third Estate declared themselves as the "Natural Assembly." Meaning he would represent the needs of the common french people in the Third estate, which was about 96% of the people.

The third estate stormed Bastille, which was a fortress in Paris. The third estate was able to liberate all 7 prisoners, seize power over gunpowder, and disarm troops. This symbolizes a challenge to the monarchy, symbolizing the rising power of the people against royal authority.

The march began among women in the marketplace of Paris. They were rioting over the high price of bread, and upon the violet confrontation, they successfully pressed there depends on King Louis XVI. The next day, they forced the king and his family to return to Paris with them.

Napoleon chose to crown himself as emperor rather than the king because Louis XVI was called that monarchy's "last king" by the Revolutionaries. According to legend, during his coronation, he snatched the crown from the hands of the Pope and crowned himself.

The 100 days marked the events between Napoleon's exile in Elba, and the crowing of King Louis XVII to the throne of France. During the 100 days, the War of the Seventh Coalition which included the Waterloo Campaign, the Neapolitan War, and several minor campaigns. at the end of the 100 days, Napoleon died of complications of stomach cancer.
