2024-2025. We created the biome of Riverwood in Mississauga which is close to our school.

We came together to use AI tools, to find solutions! Here's our plan:
🌳 Plant more trees and monitor their health.
🤖 Deploy AI cameras and robots to track and clean litter and animal waste.
💡 Educate and enforce rules with AI support, like the "Pooper-Scooper" law (yes this is a real law in Queens, NY).

Our vision is a cleaner, greener Jamaica, Queens, with safer streets, healthier water, and a thriving forest biome. Together, with innovation and teamwork, we can make it happen! ✨ GAME ON!

We are located in Marietta, Georgia. This is our first GWG club at the school. We decided to use our school's courtyard as our biome in the project. I'm very proud of my 5th graders!

🏗️Building communities, bringing ☮️

Project Goal

To develop an immersive Minecraft Education world where visitors—students, parents, teachers, and international families—can explore, listen to, and learn from the beautiful Apache language and oral traditions through interactive features.

Even with a few tech glitches, we kept going and built a Minecraft world that keeps Cibecue’s Apache stories, language, and history alive. It might not be perfect and didn’t make it on time, but our students gave it their all. We invite you to watch our presentation and see how they used Minecraft to celebrate and preserve the Apache language, culture, and stories of Cibecue.

San Carlos Middle School has faced several technology and network challenges in recent weeks, yet the SCMS -GWG team continued doing their best and worked steadily to complete this presentation with strength and determination.

Our challenge was to create a safe and welcoming community space where everyone felt included. The students focused on teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving while building homes, community areas, and shared spaces using Minecraft tools.

One challenge was collaborating and sharing ideas, but students learned to communicate, compromise, and support one another. The best part of GWG was seeing students grow in confidence, collaboration, creativity, and citizenship, while having fun building something meaningful together.

With the support and assistance of the High School team, Dishchii'bikoh Middle School was able to submit this challenge, highlighting the strong synergy and proactive collaboration across our school.

The Hydra Scout A.I.

The Hydra Scout A.I. is a groundbreaking, solar-powered mobile laboratory developed by the Dishchii'bikoh Community School GWG Alliance Club through the ‘Girls Who Game’ program to restore vitality to the land and advance the goals of Life on Land (SDG #15) and Zero Hunger (SDG #2). Engineered specifically to solve the irrigation and soil infertility challenges faced by communities like Cibecue, this innovation utilizes integrated AI moisture scanners to precisely locate underground water sources, replacing traditional, land-degrading well-digging with a targeted drill and suction system. This method preserves the integrity of the soil while efficiently securing water resources for local agriculture. By operating entirely on renewable solar energy, the Hydra Scout A.I. maintains a 100% sustainable cycle of care, ensuring that the reservation’s air remains clean while empowering the community to grow fresh produce and build a resilient, fertile future for generations to come.

Their work focused on thoughtfully blending the innovation and energy of smart cities with the balance and beauty of healthy ecosystems. Through collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving, the students demonstrated curiosity and a growing understanding of how technology can support sustainable and thriving communities.

Their community was full of movement and teamwork, with trains, buses, cars, and even airplanes helping community members travel safely and efficiently. They thought carefully about how everyone could get where they needed to go while taking care of the Earth.

Nature played a huge role too! The girls included ponds and chicken coops, learning how ecosystems help provide food, water, and balance for people and animals alike. 🐔🐟 The greenery throughout the community wasn’t just pretty it helped all living things grow and thrive. 🌱🌼

One of the coolest ideas? Part of their community was built in the sky! ☁️🏙️ By being closer to the sun’s rays, their buildings could use solar power, and many structures had clear ceilings to soak up even more clean energy. Talk about smart, sunny thinking! ☀️🔋

And of course, no community is complete without fun! The girls designed an inclusive playground for everyone, where AI-inspired play elements helped kids learn while they played like smart swings that count pushes, solar-powered slides, and interactive games that teach teamwork and sustainability. 🤖🛝

This joyful, creative project showed just how thoughtful and innovative Oak View’s second graders are. They didn’t just build a community they built a bright, green, and caring future. 🌍💖

We came together as a group of grade 4 and 5 girls who LOVE to game!

Due to timing issues and technology challenges, our Club started to do the build in Minecraft starting in late December 2025 and we finished this final pitch video the week of January 19, 2026.

We started using the design thinking process to brainstorm, gather ideas and we came up with the BIG IDEA of multi-use spaces for a sustainable and efficient community of the near future - well actually, it could exist today!

Let's GO - GIRLS WHO GAME!

The girls in our crew were in grades 4-8 and they had a blast collaborating to build our world. There was a ton of mentorship from our older students with our younger students which was awesome to see! We hope you enjoy our creativity! :)

🌱 Through thoughtful ideas and collaboration, we explored a future where humans, nature, and technology live in harmony, using AI as a tool to support people, protect the environment, and make the world a better place.
