Menstruation, or period, is normal vaginal bleeding that occurs as part of a woman's monthly cycle. Every month, your body prepares for pregnancy. If no pregnancy occurs, the uterus, or womb, sheds its lining. The menstrual blood is partly blood and partly tissue from inside the uterus. It passes out of the body through the vagina.

Periods usually start between age 11 and 14 and continue until menopause at about age 51.

Yes. Although it's uncommon, it's possible for a woman who hasn't yet had her period to become pregnant. That's because young women ovulate — release eggs from their ovaries — before they have their first period.

Why (keep in mind its people who refuse to do so when they are aware of the correct terms) do people still call people who identify as male that are attracted to other people who are male, gay (which is the correct term) but its so common for them to refuse to call two people who identify as female, gay? (which is not the correct term) lesbian is when two people who identify as females are attracted too eachother. I find it offensive to call (people who identify as) females, who are lesbian, gay because that's like (I'm saying "like" but i believe it =is=)calling them gay males.

The terms gay as an adjective and gay persons as a noun have been used to refer to both males and females. However, these terms may be confusing in reference because readers who are used to the term lesbian and gay may assume that gay refers to men only. Thus, it is preferable to use gay or gay persons only when talking about males. Everyone is different, please respect the identification a person prefers, also respect the fact that it can change!

Most pregnant women have monthly prenatal visits with their health care provider until the end of this trimester.

During this trimester, your fetus will start to look more like a child — with their facial features aligning, and their fingers and toes becoming well-defined. By month four, your fetus will actually have eyelids, eyebrows, eyelashes, nails and hair.

During the third trimester, your fetus continues to grow in size and weight. The lungs are still maturing, and the fetus begins to position itself head down. By the end of the third trimester, the fetus is about 19 to 21 inches long and weighs, on average, 6 to 9 pounds.
