Together with my colleague Monika, we came from a town called Třebíč, which is located in the south of the Czech Republic and where we both teach at an eight-year grammar school.
As for me, I have been teaching English and Russian language and also music for the third year at this school. The ages of my students range from 11 to 18 years old.

Among other things, I also teach piano at a music school, where I have been working for eight years. My hobbies are music, playing the piano, sports, and above all also traveling.

Besides that, I also enjoy working with computers, processing and editing videos, which was also one of the reasons why I enrolled in this course. I often use ICT tools during my lessons, and I hope that by attending this course I'll gain even more knowledge and experiences from the computer world, which I'll later be able to use in my lessons.

I am George Giannakas and now I’m the Head of the Directorate of Secondary Education in Evrytania, Central Greece. Academically, I have a degree in Physics from Athens University, I hold a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in Electronics and Telecommunications from Athens University and a Ph.D., name of thesis, “ Design of Integrated RF to DC Power Converters ”, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in University of Thessaly. I’m specialized in the design of CMOS analog circuits for RF energy harvesting and I’m also, an ICT trainer in the Ministry of Education but also and in STE(A)M approaches (Arduino @ E-twinning, Scratch). I have taught 3 years in private education, 15 years in public secondary education and 23 years as a mentor teacher in universities, while for 5 years I had served as the head of LCNS (Laboratory Center of Natural Sciences) in Phthiotida’s region (experimental teaching of Physics, Chemistry and Biology) while I also was scientifically and organizationally responsible for the Observatory-Planetarium at Ypati-Municipality of Lamia (LCNS’s department). Also I had served as the Director of the 1st High School of Lamia, before I took over the position of Coordinator (supporting teachers of Natural Sciences, by seminars and webinars (e-learning and e-teaching), in my 2 regions of responsibility) , about 5 years ago. Today (from 7/2022), I’m the Head of the Directorate of Secondary Education in Evrytania, Central Greece. In the last 4 years I’ve been involved in the European Erasmus+ programs, with critical role in the writing and implementation of the approved projects. I design and maintain websites (in Wordpress) mainly in my work.
