I don't really read a lot but a book that I was able to enjoy is called In The After by Demitria Lunetta. This book is set in a post apocalyptic time where the main character, Amy, has to learn to survive on her own while these blind creatures that can hear the smallest of sounds from miles away roam around the world. Throughout the book she has flashbacks of past conversations she had with her parents. This book is really engaging and it was fun to read.

Picking a favorite book is very hard for me. I have a lot of books I could choose from. I would have to choose Rise of Wolf 8 by Rick McIntyre. This book covers the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park and some of the events that take place after. It mostly follows Wolf 8, an underdog who eventually becomes the alpha male of the Rose Creek pack. This book is a window into the behavior of wolves and their social hierarchy. It is a very good read for those who enjoy nature and its drama.

My Favorite Book(s) have to be the Twilight series. They have so much depth to them. Say what you want about the cheesy movies, but they did not do justice to the books at all.

Caydence Gonzalez - My favorite book would have to be To Kill a Mockingbird. This book just has a great meaning to it, showing injustice, innocence, and the conflict between good and evil. It was also very interesting and easy to get engaged with.

I can't pick just one, so I would have to say almost any book based on a dystopian society (The Giver, Pretties). I find it interesting that even in a "perfect world" there's still people that would rather go through trouble just to have freedom/expression.

wMy favorite book would have to be "Catcher in the Rye". I don't enjoy reading very much, but I read this book last year in school and I enjoyed reading it. I found it very interesting, and more realistic and relatable than a lot of other books. While Holden may have seemed to be not a very good person, they portrayed the human aspect of him very well and he is in someway like all of us.

I don't really read anymore but the book that I have enjoyed lately was one of the summer reading assignments, "Into the WIld." I could relate to the main character, Chris McCandles in some ways. He was a good worker, but kind of off in his own world at times and wanted to just be apart from civilization and survive in nature on his own. He had negative traits that I also could relate to, but those traits lead him onto a fatal quest, and I do not want to end up like him. I am seeing his story as a cautionary tale about a young idealistic man who had fantasies about leaving society and trying to become truly independent, which every young man has yearned for at one point. But you just can't do that anymore, nature is harsh and unforgiving just like life, despite it's beauty and at times peacefulness.

I have trouble picking up books but when I do I like ones that have a very interesting character development . My favorite book would have to “The Life We Bury” but Allen Eskens. The story has a very interesting story about a college boy who’s assignment is to write a paper about stranger. The person he meets, however, has a very crazy life. My favorite book is actually from this summer's reading assignment which is, "A Long Way Gone". I really liked it because the book was filled with action, many heartbreaking moments especially towards the end when you think its finally over, but there is also some heart warming moments as well. I felt like there were some aspects at which I could relate to Ishmael in the book even if it's not exactly what he went through. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this book during the summer.

My favorite book is Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, which details the experience of a Russian murder case followed by an inspirational and intellectual character named Raskolnikov. This book is an international literary classic, and it offers a cultural and intellectually stimulating read. Each section of the book is so divinely packed with symbolism and historical aspects that are intended to be picked apart. I greatly enjoy picking this sort of thing apart, and Dostoyevsky's work is undeniably riveting, in my opinion. I am also a very character-oriented reader, so this book is rather exciting to study in that regard.

My favorite so far has actually been Three Little Words, (not just using this book because it’s easy). I really enjoyed this book it goes deeper into the life of a child and struggling family. It shows the good and bad sides of foster care, and real world problems. I also LOVE Ashley her attitude is amazing and she’s so smart for her age.

I don't read as much as I used to when I was younger, but ever since I was little, one of my favorite books has been The Lost Track of Time by Paige Britt. It's about a girl named Penelope who wants to be a writer but can't pursue that dream because of her overly booked schedule and her pestering mother. One day she finds she has an open, free day that she mysteriously falls into, and goes on an adventure to seek answers from the Great Moodler and save herself from the grip of time. This book is considered to be one of my favorites because I relate to Penelope in feeling like time is pulling me down, and it was a great read with unique characters and story. :)

I love this series because it focuses on the injustices and discrimination against people in their day-to-day lives. I can easily say that my favorite book is by far A thousand splendid suns , and that is because it really got my attention and it's really hard for me to be interested in a book like I was with this one. The story itself was very interesting and it was a well made book. And it wasn't only the fact that it was an interesting book that made it my favorite one it was also the theme which was women's rights that made it my favorite because I always love reading books that portray women's rights because that is a very interesting yet great thing to be reading about.

My favorite book is probably Three Little Words by Ashley Rhodes. I really enjoyed this book because i was very interested in it and could read it easy. Normally I find reading books boring but this one wasn’t. Three Little Words is about a foster kid named, Ashley Rhodes who experienced hardships through many different foster homes. When her mom finally gave up custody turning her into an orphan she was finally able to find a loving home. She was able to share her story to influence others and help other orphans. This shows that even though you may go through hard times in life, in the end there will be a better outcome. “The late afternoon light streamed through the mist on the Crystal River, and I felt something I had never known before: Home.” page 297.

Gone with the Wind is my favorite because the characters are not perfect people. Since the characters could be considered outright bad people, it makes reading the book much more enjoyable. I think more interesting things happen when people are not worried about being good. I relate to Scarlett and her temper and have a bit of a crush on Rhett and his demeanor 😂. I enjoy that it is a period piece and that there are so many moving parts throughout the book. I do not like Melanie though because she is helpless and too nice. “Burdens are for shoulders strong enough to carry them”

This is my favorite book, as I like the way Marcus Zusac, the author, tells the story of Liesel. I like how the book gives vivid details of Nazi Germany and the way it inconvenienced and changed the lives of its citizens. I also like the perspective of death following around a young girl, who's life seems to be a constant circle of death.

Reading doesn't come easy to me and it's hard to keep my attention on just one thing. I remember being so immersed in all of the different stories the book had to offer and I never became tired of reading them. This was my favorite book since growing up I loved all things Greek mythology.

This book was one of our summer reading assignments a few year ago. I am not a big fan of reading but this was a really enjoyable book to read. This book is a coming-of-age story told from the point of view of a young innocent girl who experiences various inequities throughout the story, and because of this she loses her innocence. I think this is a great story with some great themes.

The world we live in today seems to constantly focus on body image and physical appearance. We have a "beauty standard" that if you do not meet them, you are not considered beautiful or good looking. This book shows how even the prettiest society (everyone is required to get an operation to fit the standards) does not bring happiness, it brought a corrupt community. The most beautiful people with the purest hearts were considered "ugly" and could not be looked upon if they did not get an operation. But!! They were the happiest:)

I enjoyed the Maze Runner series because it had that end of the world, post-apocalypse theme to it. I feel like the stories were carried out very well, and the characters were likable and relatable.

This novel is a brilliant balance between introspection and narrative. The ways in which their society functions is very interesting and bear uncanny similarities to our own. This is truly Orwell's best work, and thus shall always remain a timeless tale.

I enjoyed reading this book because the topic of WWII is very interesting to me, and I really enjoyed how they told the story from many different views and characters who were all making a journey to the same place.

This was the first group of books that I thoroughly enjoyed and read on my own. I liked how I got to see the progression of the character through all three books and how they became a different person. The books were rarely boring and crept me wanting more Because they contained a great amount of suspense and action. There are also very large plot twists making the book very enjoyable and entertaining.

Angelo Candelaria- I'm not a big fan of reading but this book caught my interest by the formation of these boys "inner beast". Determining the way you were raised truly shows how you'll hold up for yourself while isolated on an island.

Where the Crawdads Sing

This is my favorite book because it is about a girl who learned to survive on her own even though the people around her misjudged her. The character is able to adapt the captivating marsh to fit her needs, and nature becomes her home. She later befriends a boy whose influence was spread throughout her life. I loved the author’s writing style and how it moved between significant events throughout the book which was very engaging and suspenseful.

i really liked this book because it showed the point of view of all of the characters. it showed you that everyone was going through something and you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. the little boy also learned how to have confidence in himself and i just really could connect with the characters and the plot really well.

This book gave me a greater appreciation for books as a whole considering i hadn't really enjoyed reading them. But this novel was one i'm happy to say is my favorite of all I've read before. It tackles interesting themes like segregation and really gets you sucked into the story. It follows a pair of siblings as they grow up in their town, detailing their journey not only through adventures but growing as a whole, leading to something greater.

Holes is my favorite book because even though I was forced to read it in elementary for summer reading, I love how everyone in the beginning were bad guys. There were no sides, just people who wanted to get this part of their life over with. Even through that, the strongest friendships were made.

Divergent is my favorite book because it has all the aspects of action, romance, and coming of age, one could ask for, along with some mystery. I enjoyed the way the setting was described and the plot of the book. There were many twists and turns, one of which being an epic romance between Four (a divergent) and Tris( also a divergent), which was literally the best part because the way their relationship was described was so goals! The ending didn’t leave off with an annoying cliffhanger , which was great, and all in all the book was 100000/10.

Trista Rushing- The Silent Patient

This book kept me engaged and interested the whole time. The suspense is unbearable, and the twists are shocking. The writer describes the settings well, and the plot is unheard of. Keeping my attention is hard to do, so when a book is finished the same day, well it was good.

This is my favorite book because of the progressive story and characters. This book actually got me into reading Stephen King books. The characters give the story a deeper meaning especially John Coffey. His character gives the story some much, which kept me constantly interested to see how his fate would play out within the cell. I also enjoyed how the Death Row inmates were described from a Prison guard position.

I don't read at all in my free time so I just picked a book that we read in 8th grade. I really enjoyed it because it represents how all the higher ups have created a utopia and structured it in a way to where they believe nothing will go wrong because t is so perfect. But once it does so many things change. It shows us that even in a world where everything is perfect, it still won't be.

My favorite book is “The Way of King’s” written by Brandon Sanderson. This book is a fantasy fiction part of the storm light archive series. I enjoyed the world building Sanderson uses throughout the book and the complex magic systems he builds.
