If you do not look further than your perspective you might be blind to see nobody else but yourself example is Sebastian who was mocking and telling off the sailors saying they will never save anyone and that he is better than them. ACT 3

Power: Greed for your power can even bring the closest of friends to act in betrayal of their own selfishness. Caliban, a loyal follower of Prospero, wants to kill his master as it will grant Stephano power over the island with him stating, "Yea, yea, my lord. I’ll yield him thee asleep, Where thou mayst knock a nail into his head" (Shakespeare 3.2.167-168). This means that he will kill him when he is sleeping so that Stephano can have power and become the new king of the island because of his selfish desire to be free.

ACT 2

In the lines of Alonso's plan of being killed with Gonzolo wanting Sebastian to be king, stating, "Say this were death That now hath seized them, why, they were no worse Then, now they are.
