Cirit is known as the war game that the Turks have been playing since the period when they came to Anatolia from Central Asia. Cirit, which was played in Anatolia in later periods and is also called equestrian sport, has been passed down from generation to generation since the beginning and continues to exist today.
The behavior aimed at defeating the enemy in battle as a team, and ultimately the victory of the strongest is the main topic of cirit competitions. The behavior of 'forgiving the opponent', which is only in javelin which is not present in any sports competition, gives a different meaning to cirit sport. This behavior, which expresses the necessity of not raising a hand to the weak, forgiving the weak instead of hitting them, is almost a combination of decency and virtue.
Almıla.Gözde
~Bilal Güngör Fen Lisesi~
