As a reminder you are only allowed to watch TV once a month and it must be on your lesson plan. If you are currently using TV or Youtube videos to entertain you children while to get things done or transition to other activities you will need to find an alternative activity to accomplish this. The following are ideas that can occupy the students during these time gaps without the use of a screen. Once the music begins, everyone walks around the chairs. When the music stops, everyone must find a chair to sit in. The person without a chair is out of the game. For each round, remove another chair.

The game continues until there is only one chair left. Whoever sits in the last chair, wins.

For younger children do NOT remove chairs.  The children will just look for a chair when the music stops.

When that person turns their back and says, “green light,” everyone tries to reach that person first, moving as quickly as they can.

When that person turns around and says, “red light,” everyone has to freeze and not move at all. If anyone moves after, “red light” is called, they must go back to the start line. The first person to touch the caller wins the game.
