There were 8 photos scattered around, they all revolved around the three groups; Nazi Germany, Cuba, and Syria. To start, the photos that were taken place in Nazi Germany showed a lot of Jewish prosecution, another way to put this is "anti-semitism." The Cuban photos on the other hand depicted many war torn buildings and structures, they showed refugees escaping their country as well. Lastly is Syria, the Syrian photos were also very similar to the Cuban ones. However, the Syrian photos showed much more about refugees, many of the said photos depicted refugees escaping the front-lines. In brief, the photos all are connected with the main idea of them being war and refugees. I believe that the novel, Refugee, will be about Jewish people living within Nazi Germany being prosecuted and forced to move out.

The picture on the cover of the book depicts a young boy on a boat, travelling through the ocean. I believe this is a representation of how refugees would seek shelter in other countries; by using boats. The picture also shows that the boat ride to safety was not pleasant, which is shown by the strong usage of black and white, and the treacherous ocean. I think the light in front of the boy depicts that it is the area he is seeking, while the fading black borders show that there is darkness behind him, and it is dangerous.

Hitler believed all Jews should be punished. Since he had power he made sure all Jews got punished in any way. Most Jews couldn't take it so they either kept hidden or fled the country. In Cuba, there were a lot of people who fled during the 1990's. Lots of Cubans fled because of political reasons. They used little boats that would hold 5 -20 people and their items. In the pictures some looked older such as the one that had Adolf Hitlar well others looked sooner like from Cuba and Syria. In the first photo where it's Fidel, I think that it is representing a win that they have made. They have their flags up, there's a lot of people, and people are happy. And behind them there's also people in uniforms with guns making sure they go out and not do anything. In the 7th photo, where there's many people in a boat they seem to need help. There's a person that fell out of the boat and is trying to enter back in. They also are probably using their hands to signal for help. It's also very crowded in their boat. In the book, I think that we might get a person perspective of what happened to them and how it felt like in a war.

the picture shows hitler in the crowd and the nazis are cheering for him. and i think that they are going to talk about what he did or who he is.

The front cover shows a kid who looks about 8-10 years old, on some kind of boat in open water. This means that the kid might've been from Cuba, since the only picture in the water is people from Cuba. I think this might mean that this book is about how they escape from destruction.

The fourth image looks like a bunch of cars got in a crash and people are flipping them back over. My prediction for the book is that it's gonna be about some kid he became a refugee and is traveling all over,
