In the video of "Glass, Metal, Plastic: The Story of New York's Canners" It show people in New york that are canners and thriving to recycle the cans. People who are canners make money out of these cans and go every single day to the streets collecting cans that are thrown in the streets or thrown into the garbage. New York have made a law to stop throwing cans in the streets and for those who want to help keep the streets clean, New York will give you 5 cents for each cans. The reason why New York make this as an law is to raise up the courage to recycle and stop throwing trash in the streets. According to the video they say before New York has trash all over the place. The Canners are now looking to raise the amount for each cannes. 5 cent isn't enough for them and the reason why is cause they find so much cans in the streets or places. According to the video the person said that if you live in New York their is no way that you can go broke.

           As a citizen I use a lot of resources but, at the same time I only use what I need. I buy stuff that I need and some stuff that I don't need, Now obviously everybody does that. But I have main resources that I need and other resources that are temporary that I don't buy so much. Now I know what I buy can affect the world somehow weather it's cutting down trees or damaging the air with toxic chemicals or killing the animals or making them sick. Is there another way to buy these stuff without harming the world? Maybe but This is the way the world is producing stuff and that's how consuming happens. 

           The changes I would make is making sure that trash goes with trash and recycle goes with the recycle. And if I see trash outside the streets, I should go and put in the trash. The world we live in right now is kinda sick and we must help to make it clean in order to live in a safe enviornment. Mostly all production can be done another way without making toxic air and transportation as well. But sometimes people have different perspective view on stuff and other are on the side to make changes in order to save the earth. And this would go on for a very long time cause the world is changing and people change as well. A lot of people try their best to make sure the trash goes in it's place and the recycling goes with it's place as well.

      Professor Duque gives us a lot of ideas and I choose the littering here in Miami cause everywhere you go, you'll always find trash everywhere. Their people that some help clean up places but most of us like to throw trash when we ever feel like. Sometimes we can't find a trash can to throw away our stuff so we throw it to the environment. Trash not only hurts the plants or animals but it hurts us as well cause of the toxic air the trash is throwing to the environment and thats the air we breathe in which it kinda harmful to us but not to harmful but we can help keep the enviornment clean and safe for everybody. But everybody has to do there part in order for the world to be a safe environment. 

     On "Farmers Are Using Food Waste To Make Electricity" the farmers are using waste food and turn it into energy. They turn it into electricity which is very impressive. According to the article, if the waste food was pile up it can fill a skyscraper in Chicago about 44 times. All of this roten food in a landill, it emits methane. Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. According to the article, in the united nations from a panel of climate experts estimates that up to 10 percent of all humans made greenhouses gas emissions are linked to food wastes. While farmers give foods to store, the store has some food that are roten but, these food help the farmers to make electricity.

       On " Apple Now Runs On 100% Green Energy, And here's how It Got There" Apple now is using solar panels as electricity instead of using acutal electricity poles. Which is really awesome for them to use the sun energy instead of wasting machines into giving them power to operate. This apple store is located in Navada. This apple store has a bunch of solar panels on the roof and obviously it is getting energy by the second from each solar panels. This apple store wants to go pure green and ensure a new way to receive power.

Reflection

   What are my thoughts on these two story are that they are very interesting. I didn't know that farmers are using roten food and turning them into electricity. The same goes for this particular apple store in Navada going pure green. And I also learn as that as well cause I didn't know that food can be use for electricity cause usually when food goes roten we usually throw it in the trash cause it no longer useful. But now I know for farmers it is useful cause they are not wasting the city power they are wasting food that are no longer good for power. Now I learn that apple in Navada is using solar panel to get power as well. But I knew that these solar panel were going to become something new cause I seen some places using these panels. Now the subject portrayed through solutions journals compared to other meida is that solutions is a website for education only and provides real facts in order the learner gets the right information. Other meidas well go on about what is benefits of the subject and what is bad about the subjects and solutions only focus on the positive part of the subject.

     This Article talks about accidents that happens in Miami and why it causes traffic. And it talks about where it mostly happen like In downtown and Miami beach. Downtown is where most traffic is because people are walking and the is kinda of crowded to drive in especially when an accident happen.

Traffic occurs in the highway or in the streets if you are not taking the highway.

   This video is about climate change and ways we can change it. At the beginning it starts with trash. Trash being thrown around in the world like in the streets or people not recycling is a way to start and change the climate change. Forest are being cut down and those are trees that are helping us to breathe. Climate change is really important in this world and explain why it is so important. It also explains how we can change the climate change and it can be the opposite of what we do. throw trash where it needs to go and stop cutting down trees in the forest. Their a lot of reasons why climate change is so important.

It's impossible to have healthy people on a sick planet.

   In this video Shweta is explaining how dangerous chemical or toxic stuff is being thrown in the air and we are breathing it, She calls it serve air pollution. She is also stating that in some places where people work it is very dangerous cause of serve air pollution. And she works in the intersection of environment, health and justice, She finds a group of people who try to go over the limit and help stop the bad chemicals that go in the air. She also gives reasons on why having bad air poulltion is very dangerous to us. She saw that a hospital in India is right next to a factory that throws bad chemical into the air. Which it isn't fair cause the hospital is trying to treat people and the factory is throwing toxic to the air.

Reflection

  What I learn from these two videos is that the world we live in earth is very sensitive to us. See climiate change is an issue to us and if we don't act quickly things can get really worse. Air poulltions is another problem as well cause whatever bad chemical that is in the air we are breathing it and it is not very safe for us to breathe it. Trash being thrown all over the place is bad as well because it ends up in the oceans or river and animals that live there are becoming sick because of the trash. There is a lot of ways that we can prevent these accident and it starts with everybody putting their part of the duty. For example covid in the beginning it wasn't safe to breathe cause it a virus that attacks us badly. And it is in the air which is moving around the world so this represnt as a serve air pollution as Shweta would say. We got to be careful on what we do cause some of us are very sensitive to bad stuff happening weather it is us or the animals. And it is indeed impossible to live in this planet with bad air poulltion and the climate change that is currently happening.

    On SP3 I wrote about how bad the traffic is in Miami. And it is true traffic is bad when it comes to 5 o’clock. Traffic is bad if you are taking the streets or the highway. I have a lot of experience of the traffic in Miami and I am pretty sure everybody else have the same experience as well. The reason why traffic is bad is because everybody is leaving work. Traffic gets worst when car accidents happen or when a train is passing by. Just recently I was on my way home and train pass by and it was those long trains. I think traffic in Miami will stay bad because people try to cut off others or start trying to have a road rage with someone else. Or when car accidents happen then one line is not being use cause of that. Sometime people are not paying attention when driving because when they want to get on the other lane, they throw themselves and don’t even notice that you are there. Every single day weather it is morning, or the afternoon car accidents always happen, and it would continue to happen because that’s just Miami.

 

       On CAS3 I wrote about climate change and why we should be careful with the earth and it air pollution. It was two videos one about climate change and the other was about the air pollution. What I’ve learned throughout the years is that climate change is a very important topic no matter what. And it is true climate change is very important that is why we see people protesting or talking about. Those people get mad that the other half is not doing their part in order to save the world. On the second video the lady talks about why we should be careful of what we do in this world. She stated that in India there was a hospital next to a factory. And that factory will throw out toxic chemical to the air, she was angry cause the hospital was next to the factory and those toxic chemical moves to the hospital so those patients or newborn babies are breathing those chemical. It is true inhaling that toxic chemical is really bad especially if a patient is trying to be cured but at the same time the toxic chemical is not letting them. So she found a group that were picking up trash around the city to maintain it clean and was very happy that those people were doing that. The lady also stated that the people working at those factory are inhaling those toxic chemicals. So we just got to be careful of what we do and how we do it cause it effects everybody and people have different reaction when it comes to this.
