         <description><![CDATA[<div>A quantity can either be a <em>vector </em>or a <em>scalar</em>. <br>A scalar has magnitude only, however a vector has both magnitude and <strong>direction</strong>. <br>For example,<br>5 meters is a scalar as it only provides a magnitude. However, if we said 30 meters per second, North, this would be considered a vector. It provides both magnitude and direction. </div><div>A vector can be represented by OA, <strong>a or </strong><strong><em>a.<br><br>#1</em></strong></div>]]></description>
