I taught two classes this day and also did a relief session.

At 8:50 a.m., For the first two periods of the day I was teaching Class 3K. We targeted reading skills, and, in order to capture the students’ attention, I gave questions simililar to UASA Paper 1, Part 3 to Part 5 . From this show of concern, it was a joy to note the effort and focus which the learners employed in trying the practice questions.

Later, at 11:40 a.m., For one period I went to Class 3S. In this area, I offered them error correction exercises, which resembled UASA Paper 1, Part 1 in structure. The class organisation was good and interactive though energetic, and the exercise was beneficial in that it helped to keep them in check regarding paying attention to detail.

Finally, at 12:50 p.m., I conducted a relief session with: 4K2. During this session, I decided to offer the students flexibility to their own homework.

Today was very relaxing and free from teaching classes though I had to supervise two relief sessions in class 2C and Class 3K.

At 9:30 a.m., I involved Class 2C for two periods. There was silence, gravity, and concentration when I made the students to do their own homework on their own. Some of them were on total concentration doing their work while others were looking for some explanation on what they were doing where necessary.

Later in the day, at 12:15 p.m., I returned to Class 3K for my second two-period session with the children. I told them to do their own homework to help them spend their time constructively.

Today was a fairly frenzied day as mainly I taught one class and supervised one relief period.

At 8:40 a.m., I joined class 3S to be taught in the class. The strategy for the lesson was again on writing an informal letter, using the format and examples already introduced on Wednesday. ‘I feld happy to see how the students progressed from what they already knew and tried to do the task’.

Later, at 11:20 a.m., The following day, I was teaching the students of Class 2S to relieve the teacher, but I realised it was a PJ class. The students were so keen to be allowed to go for PJ activities and having realized they could not before requesting they be allowed to go. For the next two periods, I was observing them at play, making sure that all went on well and that no child was at risk of having an accident. Although it was entertainful and interesetng to monitor them the whole time, the zeal they displayed made it even sweeter to endure the tiredness that came along with standing throughout the event.
