I feel that there is something poetic in the way that this photo could mean many different things, and that it is left up to the audience's imagination to decide what happened. You can see that her nose is red. Perhaps she just had a good crying session. Her hair is also messy. Maybe she just got off of a rollercoaster, and her falsies were no match for the wind. I remember crisp air before dawn as I stepped out of the door on my way to the airport with my entire family.
2. I remember the 9 of us packed like a can of sardines in our family friend's van.
3. I remember the excited tiredness in the car ride there, as us kids giggled, eyes half opened, about all the adventures we planned to have.
4. I remember holding my dad's hand as he gave it an excited squeeze because this was his first vacation with the family.
5. I remember squeezing his hand right back, and feeling like the happiest 7 year old alive.
