As we focus on building stamina in Independent Reading and provide a time where we have opportunities to engage in small group teaching, we can provide work stations that are simple but specific, structured, and TEK focused. This is an opportunity to practice what we've learned previously and reinforce specific skills we are building into the students. In order to support each other, please share stations here that have been successful and fruitful for you this year or in the past! #togetherwemakeateam Thank you in advance for pouring into your STUDENTS and EACH OTHER.

When students use the screen, before they click on the response they can write it down on paper, etc. An example: a game on the screen asks you to click on the cloud with the word ‘said’. Students will find said, write it in a sentence with their partners (go over routines for counting words in sentences, sounding out words, and other strategies) and then click on cloud. So for every turn. Each student has their own clipboard and practices writing the sentence #safety

For work work you could have the little race cars and a mat with three road tracks for them to slide the car as they blend the words. I would use put cvc pictures on a binder ring and have them use those to practice. For those that need modification you can have the word already on the pictures. For an extension have the students use a dry erase marker and write the sounds they hear on their mat or write them in a sentence.
