Here he is symbolising how America is the biggest capitalist country in the world and
how the inhabitants of America are some of the most obese in the world. The
steroids could mean power, but they could also mean food and consumerism which
the American people are in abundance of. Steroids' affect on the human body
makes it grow very rapidly and if used excessively, can make the person look
almost deformed. This is America, they are expanding, and they try to use their
size to intimidate and dominate smaller countries.

this is like a false conciousness. we are told to believe that we can truly be successful if we try hard enough. however this is far from the truth. in a capitalist society, if you do not have money, you cannot achieve many things you want to. the 'dream' is unrealistic and just there to make people work harder for the employers so they can maximise their profits. then they will take away all your output and give you minimum wage to pay you.

This is a play on words. He is refering the society as an abomination. He also refers to the society as 'imperial' a few times. The world 'imperial' can also refer to an empire or sovereign. This is what he thinks of a capitalist society. The dictionary definition

of this is 'Ruling over extensive territories or over colonies or dependencies' this in a way could be seen as America, the ruling colony and all the other capitalist countries are the colonies they rule.
