After hearing the seminar, there is a few things that I realized how I answered my listening paper with a wrong technique. There is a few steps in answering the based on the time given. First of all, there is the 'Pre Listening' part, this part has no audio and exam participants have time to read the question and answer options carefully while identifying the 5W and 1H in each question. It really helps in answering and finding the correct answer in the 'While Listening' part where the audio is given twice. The first audio is for looking for synonym words but can maintai the same meaning to answer the question. At the same time, I had to realize that the audio is repeated the second time. So, during the second audio I should just focus on the questions that I missed during the first audio. I also have to bear in mind that I should move on quickly to find answer on questions. The key that I get to answer is that I really should be calm and not panic because there is a lot of time given.

Things that i got from the webinar:
-there are 3 techniques that could help us going through the listening paper which are pre-listening,while-listening and post-listening
-basically,there will be a specific time given for the students to read the question and the answers first for each part. For example, part 1 the time given will be 30 secs for students to read the question+answers
-try to draw or underline the keywords while listening to the audio.Do whatever you want to do on that paper to identify the keyword
-this keyword will help us to understand the main idea
-dont ever get panic while answering because you will listen to it twice so you still can rechecked ur answer on the second round.

From what I learned:

There are 4 parts in listening paper.Total of the qusetions is 30 questions for 30 marks. The teacher suggested that we read each part before listening start. As for part 1=30 seconds, part 2= 1 minute, part 3= 30 seconds and part 4=1 Minutes. We are given 6 minutes to fill in the answer sheet and teacher tell us to do it calmly so we don't make a mistake. The teacher taught us a technique like underline the keyword so we don't get confused. After hearing the recording, check all the answer option and read and underline carefully to what we just heard from the recording. The recording will be played twice,so then we can checked the answer that we choose to do double-check.

Make sure to read the questions first before listen to the recording. This can help you to identify what point should you focus on while listening to the recording and helps you to plan your answering technique. Moreover, you also will be given enough time of 6 minutes to copy your answers onto the answers sheets after all question's recording have been played. This means, you don't have to rush yourself to directly write your answers on the answer sheets because it may cause you to missed the recording played for the next question. Next, you have to understand what exactly the questions asked for and also understand the main idea of the recording played. This is because, some recordings may use different words to confused you but it is actually have the same meanings with the questions given. Thus, you have to listen to it carefully and highlight the focus or the main idea of the questions and also the recordings. There are few techniques you can use to answer the listening paper which is pre-listening, while listening and post listening. You will be hearing the recording twice and will be given some time to rechecked your answers.

This webinar really opened my eyes by teaching techniques that I should have applied during my previous listening papers. During pre-listening, I should study the answer options and listen carefully for some specific words said by the speaker. When the audio is played I should calmly answer the questions because a long time is given and it will be played twice. So, we don't have to panic while answering. I will jot down as much information I can and underline specific words from the question. I also need to answer quickly so that I can double check my answers on the second listen.

This webinar really helps me because the three main things in listening paper are listening, reading and writing. By improving these techniques, of course we can excel not just in exam but also in our daily life when we communicate with people. One of the tips that I learn is we need to focus on the current information the speaker deliver so that we will not going to miss all the information to answer the questions.

In the pre-listening is where we need to identify the keywords by reading all the questions and answers. We need to listen carefully and pay attention to the keywords and the same words while listening at the while-listening part and write down the words. Post-listening is when we need to transfer all of our answers to the sheet and make sure all the answers space are filled and check many times.
- write down and underlined or make notes after listening so that it is easier to find the answer.
