My father's side family lived in Tokyo. My mother's side family moved a lot of the time. They went around to the west and south and east. Finally they put their house in Chiba near Tokyo. About a year ago my parents moved to the U.S. with me.

My mother  is from Hong Kong, she came to the United States when she was 16 with her younger sister. Both my mother and her sister came here for their studies.
Now most of my mother's side direct family lives in the United States but my fathers side of the family still lives in Japan.

I'm not familiar with my father and his ancestors because he didn't participate any a little bit in my life. My mother was born in a small village located i an undeveloped city, Taiyuan, Shanxi province, which is named as the province of coal mine. My grandparents and my mom are all grew up in a poor environment. In my grandparents' generation, they moved down from the mountains in order to get closer to the city. My mother studied hard to leave the poor village and finally she settled down in Wuhan, a developed city with 12 million population. She worked hard to earn more, and she made the plan of coming to the US in early years. But we return to Korea 3 years later because my grandfather died.
Now my sisters are in college, my mom and I came here again last year, and my dad is in Korea.
