Family life, relationships, focus on character piece. (Time: 12 minutes)

Character arcs: the short focuses on Liv, a young teenager who is dealing with her parents divorce, and her relationship. Applying Todorovs theory, the main characters world is disturbed when her parents decide to divorce. Dealing with this she goes through heartbreak, and rebelling from her parents arguing. The films uses visual imagery to focuses on how lonely the character is and how chaotic her life is

narrative: the story is linear, following the girl and her reaction to her parents divorce, it follows todorovs theory, that her life is disrupted, and she has to deal with it, initially coming to the conclusion of accepting it.

Genre: The film is a coming of age Drama. visually it follows the typical character types and usual formula, e.g. dealing with families and relationships, it also is a character piece, seeing her reactions to it.

Applying Todorov's theory:

Equilibrium - Life is normal with her boyfriend.

Disruption - Her parents divorce.

Recognition - She argues with her boyfriend and parents.

repair - she accepts her parents divorce.

Character arcs: The short is about a boxer, who is being controlled by his family, and has an upcoming boxing match. it starts with him being indecisive. Eventually he stands up to his dad and sister, choosing to do what he wants

Narrative: The story is linear, with the story focusing on the boxers thought process

A neo noir thriller focussing on a couple after the accidental death of a man.
(Time: 8 minutes 30 seconds

Character arcs: Since the story is interwoven as non linear, you see the characters after the death of the man, and them trying to cover it up. You see the decline of Carla Gugino's mental state, as well as her husbands guilt and difficulty sleeping. 

narrative: The story is non linear, with the focus on the situation and their guilt. It is about a man and a wife who accidentally kill a man during a sexual session.
