This song best expresses the change in my professional development, because I keep growing, learning and it's an ongoing process regardless the time which has passed since I started. The line "let it flow" suggests it is also important to let things take their course sometimes...

The song that defines my teaching career so far is the song "try again" - "if at first you don't succeed dust yourself off and try again" .I feel that as a teacher I need to try again and again and not give up .some lessons are better and some don't go as well as I want them to. My message is don't give up and keep trying! In my case changing schools made a big difference and I am much happier.

The song that expresses how I feel today after an extensive and fruitful year is ---- (voice of drums) ----"Here Comes The Sun" by the Beatles "Here comes the sun, do do do do... Here comes the sun, and I say It's all right" After learning so much and after the Corona times I am very hopeful that the sun will come out, will shine and that the new direction that I'm heading in life (Hassava) will be for the best.

I chose the song "High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco (Yup that's the name of the band:)). It tells a story of succeeding in the labor to achieve one’s dreams. It emphasizes the importance of never losing hope and striving to do your best. Looking back on this year, I feel I have learned from the many challenges I have faced. I honestly believe that being able to maintain a positive attitude has had a great impact on both my professional and personal growth.

I chose the song “True Colors” to express my professional development not only this year, but throughout a long period of more than three years of my studies at Beit Berl. After a very challenging year of teaching English in Junior High I had two wonderful years of practicum in elementary and high schools, with great guiding and counseling of both mentor teachers and pedagogical advisors. During those years I established my self-confidence and shaped my professional identity as an English teacher. I came to realize that heterogeneity and differentiation apply not only to students but to teachers as well! Each one of us, teachers as well as students, has his/her own “true colors” that make him/her unique and special. I shouldn’t be afraid to show who I am, and I definitely shouldn’t do or teach in a way that doesn’t suit the core essence of what I believe is right. Teaching in general, and teaching a foreign language in particular, is such a complicated task! There is no right or wrong, no predefined recipe and no “perfect teacher” for it. Each student has different learning abilities and different learning modalities that suit his/her needs, and each teacher has different teaching abilities and teaching modalities that best suit him/her. A successful match between teachers and students can bring magic into the classroom. But the first step for this magic to happen, is the courage to be authentic and just show who we really are. The ones who are able to connect with us will love our true colors no matter what. We don’t have to be “perfect, we just have to be ourselves.

I chose the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams, which represents my feelings after a very challenging year. (3 years). Before I've decided to take the step and be a teacher I worked as a lawyer. It took me 6 years to become a lawyer which was very exhausting. Teaching is something that I've always wanted but i needed a lot of courage to do it. When I decided to change my career i didn't get support from everyone, and it was very difficult for me. However, I felt that I needed a change and most importantly fulfill myself. I am happier now.

I chose this very optimistic song because I think it is importanat to remember how much power we have in creating our own story... This year was very meaningful to me since I didn't think teaching in secondary school was my cup of tea, and I decided to give it a try and enjoy coming back home to my own school.. And this is where my book begins... I realized this is what I want to do and this is where I want to be..
so I listened to the song when it said:
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Do the same! good luck next year!

I had to choose two songs. the first one is my all time favorite "country roads take me home to the place I belong" i can relate it to the feelings i have for the college. the reason i am back because the college evoked a place of belonging just like a home. it brought to me good memories from my previuos studies. and i am back to finish what i have started and i enjoy every minute here. i am happy to say that I'm proud for my accomplishments so far. The second song would be: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" i will always treasure susie's words - never limit yourself! it was during our conversation two years ago. i was totally against the idea of me teaching 11 & 12 graders 5 points bagrut (because this level belong only to native speakers' teachers. however, my dear Orly and Yifat my mentor proved me otherwise! i was lucky to do my practicum in a great secondary school along with my beautiful co students and my dearest partner Eden. i met an amazing English staff and the best mentor anyone could ask for! as far as my personal development, i gain more confidence and self esteem, i improved my communication skills and also recognize my weaknesses without hiding behind them. sadly im saying goodbye. Orly thank you for everything! you have always been a wonderful instructor full of empathy, patience and caring....

Ido - "Flowers are Red" - During this year I learnt how much complex and diverse teaching can be. For me it was a year of exploring the limits and possibilities of teaching. I had wonderful mentors and guidance that taught me how many colors teaching has. I think I was able to define my teaching ground rules and my identity as a teacher in a better way now. I chose the song "Flowers are Red" because I can relate ti the child in the songs that wants to paint flowers in many colors and with the help of the right teacher\mentor he could really enjoy painting as he wants. Here are some lines from the song.
