As part of the National Curriculum, all children must partake in physical education. In order for your child to participate in PE lessons, they must come to school in a clean PE kit. Appropriate trainers for outdoor PE is essential for Health and Safety reasons. 

Children will be allowed to arrive to school in their PE kits and not need to bring their school uniform on these days. 

When children have finished reading a book, they should upload a book review onto their class Reading Padlet.

We will be reading a range of texts including class novels such as Kensuke's Kingdom and Why the Wales Came by Michael Morpurgo.

- identify whether or not a lamp will light in a simple series circuit, based on whether or not the lamp is part of a complete loop with a battery

- recognise that a switch opens and closes a circuit and associate this with whether or not a lamp lights in a simple series circuit 

• the role of emergency services in keeping us safe, and which emergency service to request

• what is meant by a balanced diet

• understand nutritional information on food and what it means

• how too much sugar, salt or saturated fat can have a negative effect on our bodies

• the violin as an instrument– focus on four strings, pizzicato playing

• how to play instruments with increasing accuracy, fluency and control

• to use and understand staff notation- pitch notation, crotchet, minim rhythms
