Why do students value technology in the learning process?

Tags: best schools in electronic city, CBSE schools in Bannerghatta Road, schools near Yelahanka

We belong to the age where tabs have replaced textbooks and all one needs is a phone to access a research paper. Do students as learners value this change and consider it for the better? One thing to keep in mind is given that most of the work-force operates online and requires computer and AI, being tech-savvy is an obvious advantage to anyone best schools in electronic city.

Students often find laptops more fun than textbooks, and YouTube videos as better than a boring lecture. Technology also prepares a student for the future in the sense that jobs that had no requirement for digital components can have one now. Technology is part of most jobs starting from data entry and moving on to higher levels of programming. If not as part of your work, you will at least require technology to contact other persons and meet clients abroad virtually. It’s everywhere! And supposedly for the better CBSE schools in Bannerghatta Road.

Technology also helps a learner to learn at their own pace and at a time best suited for them. Let us takeCoursera for example, a platform that offers both paid and free version of learning courses online. Assume X signs up for a course on Game theory. She begins the course, and mid-way through a session she receives a phone call that she must answer. She has the option to pause the video, and get back to it whenever possible at a later time. X would never be able to do this in a physical live-lecture. Forget attending the call, the phone would possibly be on mute so as to not disturb an ongoing class.

While all courses on Coursera are available for free, for tutor review and to receive a course completion certificate, one would be required to pay a fee. And What’s even better? X could attend a course offered by Stanford University all while she is based in Chennai, India schools near Yelahanka. The best quality of education made available all around the world.

Technology also makes it easier for students across the world to contact each other and exchange ideas and have lively conversations going. It has also been observed that there is a tendency for students to help one another out on the use of technical skills. Online courses help us find like-minded people with similar interests. And so, technology is of much value to a learner indeed.

Tags: schools near Kanakapura Road, best schools in JP Nagar, electronic city phase 1 schools.

“Technology is best when it brings people together,” said American entrepreneur Matt Mullenweg. While it might be true that social media helps connect people across the world, it also affects the social life of people to a great extent. Of course, a child can avoid getting hit by a teacher. (Yes, physical abuse still takes place in schools) but the child gets hit badly in other aspects of schools near Kanakapura Road life. This can make a completely online-based schooling process not all that desirable.

Many youngsters these days prefer texting over calling and calling over the meeting. The ability to be physically present in front of a person and to communicate with them is reducing. Any child at the beginning of their schooling cannot easily comprehend the concept of meeting and spending most of their day with strangers. This process becomes more difficult especially if they have never met these strangers and see them as virtual faces on a phone screen.

A child is meant to run around and play. To have fun and learn in the process! This is the concept employed at pre-schools. Children at this age develop their motor skills, and best schools in JP Nagar serve as a conducive environment for the same.

What are motor skills?

Simply put, skills are related to motion and movement.

There are two kinds of motor skills:

Gross motor skills: Motor skills that are developed during childhood through play and physical activity. Eg. Walking, running, etc.

Fine motor skills: It is the ability to make movements using the smaller muscles of the limbs like our palms and wrists. Eg. Drawing, writing, weaving, etc.

If this process happens online, the child definitely misses out on utilizing much of its energy and playful childhood experiences. Instead of discovering its surroundings and meeting new people, the child explores the screen and communicates to people over a phone call. Most of the fun is taken out of learning.

While e-learning might have its advantages, it is of the utmost importance to pay attention to these aspects of life at the early stages of the development of a child’ electronic city phase 1 schools.

But the question is, which Board would be best for your child?

Different schools offer different educational boards. The Board of Secondary Education in India has boards such as CBSE, ICSE, IB, and State Boards. It all depends on the requirements of an individual child and which board is best suited for him/her.

In the last decade, India has seen a huge growth in the number of CBSE schools in Kanakapura Road and also in the number of boards that these schools follow. In this board, emphasis is given to learning through play-way methods in primary classes, but students are trained well to excel in competitive examinations like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, etc. Exams are conducted annually at the end of each term and promotion to the next class is based on performance in these exams.

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)

The ICSE syllabus focuses on problem-solving skills rather than fact memorization. This board is known for its well-rounded education system that offers students a wide range of subjects to choose from. This board is well regarded as one of the toughest boards in India. It has a more comprehensive syllabus compared to CBSE and also focuses on practical learning. Most ICSE schools in Kanakapura Road are affiliated with CISCE (Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations).

International Baccalaureate (IB)

IB (International Baccalaureate) is an educational foundation that provides an international education for children around the world where students can earn a diploma after completing their secondary education. IB schools focus mainly on developing critical thinking, building reflective learners, and making global citizens. They have a well-researched curriculum with highly qualified teachers.

While State Board Schools focus on imparting knowledge through traditional methods with emphasis on grammar and rote learning methodologies, IB schools encourage creativity and independent thinking in its students through classroom activities like group discussions, role-plays etc.,

State Boards

Choosing a state board is an important decision, and you want to make sure that the school you choose will provide the best education for your child. State boards are set up to provide students with a quality education. The curriculum is designed to meet high standards, and students are expected to pass tests at the end of each year. Each state has its own requirements for how schools should be run, and there are many different types of schools within each state board.

Choosing The Right Board School For Your Child:

The choice of a school is a very important decision.
Gen Z loves the Tech

tags: CBSE schools in bannerghatta road, Christ academy electronic city

Adobe conducted an online survey in 2016. CBSE schools in bannerghatta road The survey covered 1007 gen Z students and 414 Gen Z educators in order to study the impact of technology on Gen Z and their preference for it in the classroom. The main conclusions from the survey were:

Gen Z considers technology as a defining characteristic of the generation.

Gen Z learns best by doing and want more creativity in their classrooms. They believe creativity plays a big role in their future success and solving today’s challenges.

Gen Z as a generation loves the adjectives of “smart” and “creative” to describe themselves and looks at technology as a means to creativity. They also consider themselves as more creative than the past generations and that they look at novel, “better” ways of doing any task. The digital tools accessible in today’s world serves as outlets for creativity.

Most people of this young generation remain uncertain of their future. They are also not sure on how their online presence might be interpreted from their future universities or employers.

Both the educators and students feel that this generation learns best by hands-on experience. They feel that the technology required for this is available and it is the curriculum that needs to be updated.

“Gen Z sees interconnectivity, access to information, inclusion and the greater variety of professional choices as their greatest advantages,” according to the survey. Such interconnectivity makes them more tolerant to people from other backgrounds. However, teachers feel the students tend to over depend on technology even for small tasks that they become lazy, and fail to think outside the box.

“Everyone has a phone and/or tablet in class. This is unheard of even 4 years ago. Curriculum is WAY behind these kids…you can view instantaneous info whereas textbooks and papers are obsolete. Also, Gen Z students want to be entertained…they will believe/trust YouTube over a textbook any day,” says a teacher to Adobe.

Everyone learns through developing critical skills, intellectual curiosity, solving problems, gaining experience, team building skills and memorization. But what makes Gen Z different is that technology plays a major role in their learning process. Digital media is as important as the textbook and the lecture. Christ academy electronic city.

In conclusion, Gen Z loves to be tech-savvy and creative.

Tags: CBSE schools in hebbal, ICSE schools in Kanakapura Road, schools near Yelahanka

Given that the 21st Century is the era of the internet, technology has pervaded through almost every part of an individual’s life. In Education too, it has played a significant role over the past two decades.

Technology in education takes the form of Smart board class rooms, PPT presentations as projects and reference materials sent in as PDFs. Almost every school in the urban areas are equipped with a computer lab. Well to do schools near Yelahanka have projectors and screen at least in one of their class rooms. The advantages technology provides to the learner and a teacher has led to a significant increase in public and private expenditure to inculcate technology in to the learning process over the years.

Technology provides the learner with a more pro-active role than in a typical classroom. The teacher no longer remains the centre of attraction and the information provided takes the lead. The student no longer remains a mute spectator who listens to a teacher giving long lectures. They get a chance to present, demonstrate and learn so in the process. ICSE schools in Kanakapura Road

It is also in the capacity of the teacher to ensure that the information is sent across in an effective manner. A teacher with good tech-skills could look at better ways to present the same information using his/her computer skills. It would be easier for a learner to grasp the concept of Bernoulli’s theorem and that of water flow if they saw a three-dimensional diagram of the pipe. Technology thus broadens this spectrum of how information can be broadcasted.

Teachers also mention of increased self-esteem of students when they use technology. And when a student is confident, it helps them learn better. The immediate rewards provided by automatic grading in computers serves as a quick incentive for students and motivates them to do more. Teachers say students are keen on mastering their technical skills and that technology makes the schooling process one that students look forward to. CBSE schools in hebbal

This is a good thing and vastly widens the scope of learning in one of the best schools in electronic city

The access to information also allows the student to not only read further into one topic but also delve into other related topics to gain a wholesome understanding. For example, A student wishing to learn more about how Myocardial infarction (Heart attack) works might google the same, and from there, they can further research on how the functioning of the heart. This might eventually lead the student to learn about the cardiovascular system. Had this process been offline, it would have required traversing various textbooks and largely inanimate printed matter. However, the online process just requires entering a few keys on the keyboard, and one can access information on everything from the heart to the chemical structure of Haemoglobin in a jiffy. Learning made it easier! in of the best cbse schools in jp nagar

Most websites have external links embedded within the text of their articles or an “also read” on a similar topic. To further refer to sources from a textbook’s bibliography involves searching through libraries and suitable sources. To even think about the whole process and the work it would require is indeed tiring. But if it is online, the citations and a references list at the end of the article can help one source where the information initially comes from. One can also access the latest updates on the topic if they click on the news tab of their google search. Learning made less complicated!

The use of simulations and 3-d models that can be portrayed on a screen enhances the understanding capacity of the students. This is especially true for detailed processes such as explaining the inner workings of the human body or the basic structure of an atom. These simulations aid a learner to grasp the concept better. The probability a child can understand how the heart works is better with this video than with just diagrams of the heart and blood vessels. Learning with better understanding! and also the best schools in rt nagar

And hence, with easier access to information, and better understanding, it is much that a learner can benefit by inculcating technology into the learning process. Learning made better!

The LMS forms a major part of e-learning. It aids the management of almost all aspects of the learning process in one of the best schools in yelahanka

An LMS allows the learning material to be customized according to the learner’s needs while also making it easier for the tutor to keep a tab of the student’s achievement and progress in a hassle-free manner. There are three human components/users to an LMS:

· The administrator who sets up the LMS according to the organisation’s needs;

· The instructor who guides the learners as to what course to opt for, how to go about it as well as grade them and keep a tab on their progress;

· The student who is at the receiving end of the service and can learn using the LMS.A student here isn’t necessarily just a school-going kid but can also be company employees of an organization, government agency, or private business, or even the general public opting for learning courses.

An important aspect of any online course is how it is organised and how the learner progress is reviewed. Any well-designed LMS should be able to automate repeated tasks and allow its users to make changes and updates to multiple items. An LMS should be designed in a way best suited to the organisation’s aims and should provide flexibility to the users to organise the content and learning sessions in multiple ways. Given the increased usage of phone and easier access to the device by the masses, any learning management system should also be able to cater through mobile phones with touch friendly interactions and while also focusing on making content available offline.

Apps and web portals are ways through LMS functions. Technology makes it easier to monitor and assess student progress because gathering and analysing of data and statistics with respect to attendance, student grades and other performance metrics becomes a less tedious process. Features such as automatic enrolment, white-board, check-point tests and worksheets, online attendance forms and digital calendars makes the LMS user-friendly and enhances the learning process in cbse schools in jayanagar

tags: schools in bangalore, cbse schools in jayanagar, Icse schools in kanakapura road

While it is true that technology greatly enhances the learning process, it has its cons as well. so choose a best schools in bangalore

A student might find presenting a PPT a better experience than drawing on the board and explaining the concept to their class. However, it is also likely that they can get caught up with the idea of the various possibilities technology makes available to them to such an extent that they do not pay attention to the details of their content. The teacher can prevent this by specifying the methods, fonts and format to be used so the student can focus more on their content. It is possible that not all students are good with technology and a session explaining the basics of it might be necessary for the students on how it works at cbse schools in jayanagar

Secondly, let us take into consideration the batch of students who had to have their first year of college online owing to the pandemic. Even during normal times, the shift from school to college is a huge one for students. With learning becoming more specialized, and a new found freedom to make choice for themselves, the shift is also an important one for students. College is a completely new, fresh environment. Having experienced it online, Students lose out on the social environment of their friends and physical presence of their teachers which impacts the students mental-health to a large extent.

Technology definitely made it easier for colleges to start off the academic year without further delay due to the covid-crisis. However, not all students were able to cope up with the classes online. Some had network issues, some didn’t even have access to internet, and a few just couldn’t grasp the concepts in an efficient manner online. Further, the older professors had to put in added efforts to cope up with the online mode having had person-person interactions all their life. It takes them quite some time to adjust.

College going students might have been used to the academic setting, but the younger kids who had their first year of schooling online would be clueless as to what is it, that they are doing. The school is a child’s first exposure to individuals from multiple backgrounds and it is where they learn how to live, adjust and learn along with others. It will also most likely be their first social setting apart from family.

Thus, while technology can be a great aid, we should also keep in mind that traditional teaching methods have their own advantages as well. Thus, a mixture of the offline and online mode should be used together in a manner that is the most efficient for learnersin one of the best Icse schools in kanakapura road

However, this is majorly missed out in the case of online learning.

Hobbies and activities like dance, music, and painting were hit hard and not paid much attention to in most cases. This reduces a child’s exposure to a large extent. In an attempt to fill this gap, many schools looked for alternatives via the online medium as well. Online sessions for Yoga, music and etc. are being conducted, however, the session happening online can make it difficult for the instructor to convey and for the students to learn. Teachers cannot monitor all students and face-to-face monitoring definitely makes it easier to gauge a learner’s progress. The bond formation between the teacher and student, and between students themselves is affected to a large extent as well.

Most of the schools in hebbal went beyond conventional opportunities and conducted wellness workshops to include mindfulness, personality development and focused on boosting confidence and enhancing communication skills.

tags: possible solutions , Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab, technology, Mind and Behavior

With increased screen time, there has emerged a whole new kind of dis-ease called the ‘zoom fatigue’. It refers to the exhaustion one feels after having attended online classes and meetings and has been named after the widely used video-call platform Zoom. Professor Jeremy Bailenson, founding director of the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab published a paper in the journal Technology, Mind and Behavior on the same.

According to the study, there exist four primary reasons why video chats fatigue humans:

1. “Excessive amounts of close-up eye contact are highly intense”: Increased eye contact tends to be intimidating for most people, and with online meetings the number of faces perceived to be staring at you drastically increases. 1. Secondly, depending on the screen size, the faces of people on call are either enlarged or minimized to a degree that humans are not naturally accustomed to. When (Virtual)faces of other humans very close to our own face, our brains interpret it as an intense situation. This leads to us constantly being in a hyper-aroused state.

2. “Seeing yourself during video chats constantly is fatiguing”: It’s as though a mirror came along with you in real life, following you everywhere you go. Professor Bailenson says that constantly seeing one’s face can be stressful as studies show that we are more critical of ourselves when we see our reflections.

3. “Video chats dramatically reduce our usual mobility”: Research shows movement aids cognitive performance, and this is definitely lacking with the online-medium.

4. “The cognitive load is much higher in video chats.”: As in-person communication is missing; more efforts need to be put in order to receive non-verbal signals. They could also be misinterpreted depending on the screen and placement orientation of both the doer and the receiver.

And what’s the solution for these then?

1. Make necessary changes on the screen layout to reduce the size of people’s faces.

2. Using the ‘hide self-view’ button to minimise seeing yourself on the screen.

3. Place the screen further away to make the meeting seem more real-life and take breaks from being seated in one position/place.
4. Take audio-only breaks, and take yours eye off the screen when required.

And so, while times demand that we stay online, and on the screen for more hours, we need to be aware of what is happening with ourselves and the possible solutions of the problems we face given the shift to the online medium.

Children are our future, but Are Children Getting a Good Education in the Country? With the number of schools in today’s society, it is hard to figure out if your child is getting a proper education. A good education can make a child’s future.

If you are looking at different schools to send your child to, there are many things you need to consider before choosing one. You want your child to be happy and feel comfortable in the school environment. A child who is not happy will not do as well as a child who is happy. When you choose a school for your child, you should look at how the teachers treat the children and if the children seem happy and comfortable with them. You also want to look at what extracurricular activities are offered by 0ne of the cbse school in jp nagarWhen sending your child to school, you should expect them to receive an education as well as have fun while doing it. There is no reason why a child cannot have fun while learning something new every day. Every child learns differently. If your child does not learn well in a classroom setting, then you may want to consider homeschooling or a private tutor for them, but you should still expect them to learn from their educational experience whether they are in public or private.

Parents send their children to a private school thinking that they can receive an excellent education without being burdened by excessive class sizes and a lack of resources. The advantages of sending children to private schools are: They often have smaller classes and offer a more focused approach to learning. They also have smaller student bodies that allow for more individual attention from teachers. If you live in an area with many private schools, you will be able to choose from a diverse range of options.

Private education can be costly but not always. Every parent wants the best for their children, but not all parents can afford to send them to private school and pay for all the extras like uniforms and extra-curricular activities. But it doesn’t have to be like this. There are ways to send your kids to a good school without breaking the bank.

Here’s how:

Comparing schools is by far the best way to save money on private schooling. It’s worth spending time checking out a few schools before settling on one. If you end up choosing a private school there are ways of saving money on fees and extras such as uniforms, books and transport costs.

If you’re unsure about what kind of school your child should attend there are plenty of resources that can help you make an informed decision about this. For example, do some research and speak to people who have experience in this area and ask questions about the schools they’ve sent their children to or even their own experiences in terms of cost and quality of education provided in the best schools. Look at what they offer in terms of extracurricular activities such as sport, music, and drama, as well as academic subjects such as maths, science, and English.

You can also check out: myskool.online

The MySkool network of trusted private schools connects you with the best local private schools across the country.
