Learning how some people learn best strategies and how to improve memory remember something that someone said and improve your memory and what parts of the brain are essential in learning and • this brain is oriented • my eyes are in the back of my head • cerebrum • cerebellum means tiny brain is always at the back of the head • frontal lobe is where my eyes • the occipital lobe and the occipital lobe are specific for vision, so this is the part of the brain that is responsible for vision. if you have a brain injury in the back of your brain you might have problems • the middle area is called the temporal lobe and is responsible for heard and taste • the limbic system will join primitive emotions. primitive emotions are emotions that you experience in childhood, and it can be fear or pleasure • the Olympic system is primarily responsible for our emotional life and can cause strong emotional reactions • the limbic system is very important in the formation of memories when I talk about the limbic system two specific the first one is the amygdala these memories might trigger some feelings or PTSD • the hippo the hippocampus is very important in learning and putting things from short term memory into long term • long term memory would be repetition like the phone number you can repeat and repeat and repeat and repeat, the more repetition the more you can put things into long term memory number • there are three steps in establishing long term memory the first step is called encoding and means that making a story to connect these ideas or looking at a common theme that puts all of these ideas together
