 Anthony Brindisi advocates for the middle class, which represents a plurality of the population of New York District 22. One of Brindisi’s big quotes is, "I want to restore that one simple promise: A congressman who wakes up every day and fights for the middle class." Since Anthony Brindisi advocates so much for the middle class and the middle class makes up a plurality of District 22, (81% of District 22 make under $100K), the odds are in his favor. 

Secondly, In the most recent tracking poll, Brindisi was in the lead. A Sienna College poll taken on October 24th, 2018, shows that 46% of the sample population interviewed were in favor of Brindisi and 42% were in favor of Tenney. This poll was given a pollster rating of an A, proving that the polling firm is a good source. 

Some people predict Claudia Tenney will win District 22 because she is the incumbent, and incumbents have an advantage over their challengers. Many people believe that this level of experience gives her the upper hand in the midterm election. But even though Tenney is the incumbent, Brindisi has raised more support in the electorate, stands for a plurality of the population of District 22, and the results of the recent tracking polls favor Brindisi.
