  • The hutus use that as an excused to destroy the entire  tutsi civilian population 
  • On April 6, 1994 President Habyarimana was shot which that escalated to immediate violence 
  • When the belgian first constructed a colony in Rwanda they would recognized the colony population by making them into two groups the hutus and tutsis
    • Tutsi were in charge because they appeared dominant group based on social features
  • The tutsis government constructed an upper class and lower class
  • Hutus wanted revenge for all the oppression that was brought them by tutsi
