Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American police television sitcom that premiered on Fox on September 17, 2013. Created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur, the series revolves around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a talented but immature NYPD detective in Brooklyn's 99th Precinct who frequently tops the squad in collars despite his relaxed, carefree attitude, much to the annoyance of his more stern and by-the book partner, Amy Santiago. Jake comes into conflict with his new commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The supporting cast features Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Trugilo as Charles Boyle, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti, Dirk Blocker as Michael Hitchcock and Joel McKinnon Miller as Norm Scully.

Obedience

Obedience is the act of following an order or instruction from a person in a position of power or authority. Previously in this particular episode, Captain Holt (the new captain of the precinct) requested that Jake wear a tie to work. Whilst Jake at first lacked obedience to follow his captains orders, he did eventually follow the commands however like in this clip, he spends most the episode mocking the request. This can be contrasted to Zimbardo's experiment as the prisoners were very obedient towards the higher authority, compared to Jake how he mocks Holts authority and only starts to obey his orders when it gets serious.

Compliance

Compliance is the act of changing ones behaviour in response to a request to do so. Unlike obedience, the presence of an authority figure does not need to involve an authority figure. Compliance is not as evident in Brooklyn Nine Nine as obedience is however, at 3:52, when Jake and Amy are talking about a drug they are trying to get off the street, Boyle comes out of nowhere and talks about how their relationship is like a drug, when Jake asks him to go away, Boyle complies with the request and walks off.

Conformity is the act of acting and behaving in a way that is socially acceptable and 'fits in'. This also shown in this short clip as Boyle is always looking to conform with the social norms and can be seen as a 'try hard' when trying to fit in.

Social Facilitation

Watch from 4:16 to 4:27
Social facilitation is the influence and presence of others on how well we can perform. The influence of people may enhance our performance or inhibit it. In this snippet of the scene (at 4:17), Amy is under pressure to make her crush approve of her however, under the amount of pressure she is in, she makes mistakes and yells out 'LOL', which is more likely to turn her crush away.

The desire to benefit others for their own sake, without seeking personal gains or rewards. At 2:39, you can see that Captain Holt helped Jake get out of a slump where Jake couldn't solve any cases and so Holt helped him by assigning paperwork for him to do. The paperwork managed to help Jake solve a case he had been working on for months and when he told Holt, Holt seemed to take enjoyment out of it and even managed to break a smile. Holt did not expect anything in return for this as he knew it was in his best interest to help Jake get out of the slump.

Watch until 58 seconds
Aggression is the act of becoming violent when feeling angry or upset. In Brooklyn Nine Nine, Rosa is a naturally aggressive person who is aggravated easily from the smallest things. An example of this is in the first minute when Hitchcock tries making her smile for a Christmas card. Rosa's reaction was very aggressive even though Hitchcock meant well.
