I want to flip my class so that students can learn and practice the information at home, then come back to school and apply what they have learned. I hope to accomplish an increase in students learning. For myself, I hope to accomplish more time to do other tasks. For the students, I hope to accomplish more student engagement in class discussions.

The How

I would start my flip by doing a couple of in-class flips for students to see and respond to. I would then begin assigning flips for students to do at home. After doing that for a couple of days/weeks, I would gradually add days of flips for them to do at home until they are doing them all at home.

I would include the flipped lesson into my daily-do now/class starter, so that the students are reviewing/ applying what they learned the previous night.
