Jesus was modest and never made Himself out to be some hero who takes the limelight from the lepers, the sick, poor, and other disadvantaged people He encountered. He helped them because of His own good intentions, not because He wanted to make a spectacle out of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy he carried out.
Similarly, choosing the more loving choice to me would be to take on a more passive but effective role in other youth's fight for systemic change. I can do this by making an effort to participate in real-life spaces for civic engagement instead of merely joining in on pointless performative discourse online.

I took a step back and started to observe my family, in the act of doing so I was wonderstruck to see how drastically different our processes of healing are. There are people who prefer to stay in solitude (much like me), some would opt to keep themselves busy by immersing themselves in their work or hobbies, and others prefer to always be in the move and not stay too long in the same place, finding endless fresh beginnings in every new place they find themselves in. And eventually as I acknowledge these differences, it helped reassure me that it's okay to take my time and do things that work for me. In the end, healing has different forms, depth, duration, and pacing. And this is something I want to impart to those who are struggling to heal their wounds. I want to be able to help them better understand themselves and be with them in their journey to finding what healing process works for them. Because I believe that helping yourself is a crucial step into being a person capable of helping others as well.

I acknowledge that some situations will lead you to become stingy of this of your time and presence; but I realized the impact this has on people who just need people to show up for them. Devoting a bit of your time to share your presence for others is one way to show love.

Through these lessons and in trying to choose the loving option, I need to bring myself to empathize with them and their situation and try to forgive them as holding a grudge will also only hold me back from loving fully.

Although it may be difficult, no one said loving would be easy, so this is a challenge that I welcome with open arms in hopes to grow as a person and learn to move on, let go and grow.
