A couple who has no children lives in a small village. The man is a hunter but he is blind in one eye. One day when he is hunting, he hears scream of a woman. The voice is coming out of the cave. When the man enters the cave, he sees the goddess of the forest, Dali.

Dali is going to have a baby; she is in labor. Dali asks the man to cut her stomach with a knife and take out a baby. He does it and says that it is a baby boy. Woman says to the hunter to take the baby with him and name him Amirani. Dali also says that Amirani will become a hero and stronger than God.

Her words come true. Amirani grows very quickly and becomes stronger every day.

He does lots of great things and people love him very much. But Giants and Dragons are afraid of him and hate him. So, they go to the God and say that Amirani wants to become God himself. God gets very angry and comes down to Earth to punish the hero-Amirani. He chains Amirani to a cave which is surrounded with icy mountains.

Amirani is there ever since. The ravine brings bread and a cup of wine to him every day. His friendly dog stays with him too and licks the chain. The dog wants him to escape. But every Thursday, blacksmiths work to make the chain stronger again. Once every three years, the cave door opens and Amirani sees the world, he tries to break the chain…..

Legend about Georgia – After creation of the universe, God has gathered all nations and decided to
assign them countries. At this meeting Georgians were late, because at that time they glorified God and
were drinking his toast. When they came to God, God told them that he had already assigned world. The
Georgians told the reason, that they were delayed because of his glorifing toast. After god has listened,
he told them that they would be live on his own kept land from now on. That's how the Georgians settled
in the small part of Paradise that God gave them. After telling this legend, we should note that our land is
exactly what God has promised us that our country is a small paradise, with beautiful nature: mountains,
sea, and so on. With great land, location and most importantly, people with our hospitality, all the guests
are rewarded by God for the Georgians, in which they will be convinced during the trip.

Daniel Chonkadze tells us about the castle of Surami, according to him, the walls of Surami are invincible, and the reason for this is that the son of his mother is buried alive in its walls. According to the legend, the castle could not be built without the help of Zurab.

It is said that in the place where Zurabia is buried, her mother's tears fall drop by drop, and it is also said that during the full moon, you will see a mourning woman dressed in black at Surami Castle.

one day the Georgian king Vakhtang Gorgasali was hunting in the environs of Tbilisi. His falcon caught a pheasant, but soon both disappeared, only after some time King Vakhtang found his bird, both fell into a sulphur spring and were boiled. As the sulphur spring was warm, king Vakhtang decided to call this place Tbilisi. tbili means "warm” in Georgian and according to his will the capital of Georgia changed from Mtskheta to Tbilisi. Monk Davit, one of the 13 Syrian Fathers, founded the cave monastery at Gareja, in the semi-desert in the 6th century. The monastery became a center of pilgrimage because it was said that one third of Jerusalem’s spiritual treasure was kept here. The legend says that Davit traveled to Jerusalem, but he could not enter the city, because was overcome by emotion and felt unable to do it. He returned to Georgia with only three stones he had picked up. The same night the king of Jerusalem had a dream that someone had taken all the spiritual peace from Jerusalem. He ordered his soldiers to follow Davit and reclaimed two of the stones, leaving him with the third to take to Georgia. This stone is kept in the Sioni Cathedral Tbilisi, and is taken to Gareja every year for religious celebrations
