In my opinion, a good reflective writing really depends on how well you are connected to the topic you are talking about and how personal you can get with the essay. It is hard for someone to reflect on the things that he/she personally has no interest in so I really believe that a good reflective writing solely depends on the person who's writing it and what the story is.

I believe that a good reflective essay incorporates great detail and a natural flow of scenes that allows the readers to immerse themselves within the writing. It would be best to be concise, however, still have a distinct point that is supported and referred to. The common thing I find in the reflections I liked was the authenticity of the story. When the use of the words actually allows me to be in the person's shoes when I'm reading their story. Because I often find exaggerations in many reflections, maybe to have a more obvious dramatic effect. This takes away away the unique feeling that I only get when hearing or reading about life stories. A human life has its own charm that's different from everyone else's, and authenticity is what gives that charm.

I believe a good reflective essay has to have detailed and authentic imagery, that is, vividly describing the setting while clearly explaining the story. You also need to include your thoughts and emotions in the writing, narrating what was going on through your head at that time.

I think it's important for someone to be honest with their reflection. The way their detail their experiences and emotions felt during those times are key to writing these essay. Although I still believe that the technicalities and flow of writing still I apply, I can say that it becomes good reflective writing when they actually learn something from writing about and talking about their experience.
