In 2015, 10,265 people died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (29%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States. Of the 1, 1,132 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2015, 209 (16%) involved an alcohol-impaired driver. It gives an overview of how dangerous drinking and driving can be and no one should drink and drive no matter what and always keep yourself safe. It’s important to discuss because everyone needs to be safe. They should not drink and drive, protect yourself and others around you it’s not just you behind the wheel, it could be you and two other people in the car with you plus the people on the road as well. You can harm yourself and others around you. Don’t go behind the wheel while drunk, call a friend if you need to go somewhere. Always be safe, no matter what, don't drink and wear seatbelts when driving. Drinking And Driving Should Be Banned Everywhere, reasons are you can hurt yourself and everyone else around if you drive while drunk, don’t drink put it down, and always ALWAYS be safe. This is important to everyone to protect yourself and your kids from harm because who wants to have their kids hurt, right? Everyone, wether it be a teen or an adult or even a newborn, everyone needs to protect themselves at all costs.

Did you know there are more than 4,000 children going into foster care every year? On average those children are in the system for 3 years or more before being reunited with birth family and 20 percent of those children are in the system for 5 years waiting to be placed with an adoptive family or reunited with their biological family. Children who are in the system struggle with emotional problems because of so many placements or because of how long they hold on to the hope of being reunited with their biological families, not to mention the reasons why they were removed from home. Which is why the system should not wait so long to reunite them or file paperwork for the adoption. This topic is very important to discuss because so many children have to go through so many emotions that come with going into the system or getting adopted. The children gain a new family but they also lose a piece of what they were a part of before their new family. It is important to stand up for these children and the decisions that are being made for them behind closed doors.

“With all these tent-poles, franchises, reboots, and sequels, is there still room for movies in the movie business?” movie director Lynda Obst. She brings up an excellent point by pointing out all the things businesses are focusing right now and saying that if this keeps up is there really any place for new movies in the industry of filming. With that being said the process of making sequels are often rushed so they can reach a dead line date more times then not making a lot of mistakes. This also causes there to be a lack of new and bold creative material that makes things unique or catches attentions. On top of those two, sequels take all the industry intake away from new filmers by making harder to almost impossible for business that don't have a set ground or sequel movie to get noticed or even good box office reviews. These reasons are a big reason why movie sequels are causing the filming business to fail.

According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, people who drink between the ages of 12 to 24 are fourteen percent more likely to develop an alcohol dependence than people 25 or older. Why is this? Because the human brain is not fully developed until the age of 25. So, if the human brain is not fully developed until the age of 25, why can we drink something that damages our neurons at the age of 21? I believe the consumption age of alcohol should be raised to 25 years of age for these three reasons: The brain is not fully developed until the age of 25; Drinking is equivalent to drugs and can lead to addiction; and it can lead to multiple different health problems. Those are the reasons why should raise the drinking age.

“Oh it’s fine, animals love doing tricks for people.” “You can’t tell me what to do, that animal is my property. I can do whatever I want to it.” Sure about that? Why are animals usually the ones treated like slaves and worthless beings? Could it be because they have no voice of their own and have to live with abusive people? Sounds about right. An animal is abused about every 10 seconds in the world, which is very unfortunate. Even though these cases still regard pets as property, and damages are awarded because of great indifference or malicious intent toward the owner’s property, the courts are allowing the bond between the owner and the companion animal to be considered for damages.

Keep in mind, not all people choose to abuse animals; instead, some people treat their animals like children. Animals are important to the world because they were created for every living, breathing being. Animals don’t deserve abuse, they deserve respect and kindness. Animals are just like people, but they don’t have a voice of their own to seek out help from humans.

“If you don’t fall in love with the gender, you fall in love with the person” People make a big deal over the topic of homosexuality, but people shouldn’t make a big deal and just let others love and be loved, no matter the gender identity or sexual preference preference. Many gay, lesbian, trans, bisexual, or undecided have faced discrimination in workplaces, homes and many more places, this needs to stop. The most glaring issue is the fight for the right to get married as a same sex couple. A wedding should be just that a wedding, no matter the genders of the participating parties, nor should a person of different sexual preference or gender identity be discriminated against. Many people spout that it’s a choice but sometimes it isn’t and sometimes it is, I choose to love a person because of who they are not because the happen to be the opposite to my gender. A person(s) should have basic rights no matter their sexual preference or gender identity.

Have you ever thought about the seriousness of school dress codes? School dress codes are a lot more serious than most people think. School dress codes should be more strict. Some schools do not really have a dress code and students take that to their advantage. There should also be services for low income families that cannot afford uniforms or nice appropriate clothing. School dress codes are part of the gateway to your future, you should not wear something to school that you would not wear to work one day. Dressing professionally can make you look like a better person. School dress codes are different depending on the school, some schools are more strict than others. Dress codes should be adjusted for the sake of children being bullied. Kids get bullied everyday for what they wear.

America is in a 11 trillion-dollar debt, if athletes could get paid $150,000/year then we could save 1 billion dollars a year. The amount of money that athletes receive exceeds the value that any one individual is actually worth. League officials should be using salary caps, negotiations, and legal tactics. Athletes' salaries are an increasing problem for the economy of our modern world. Not only is it an economic problem, but there are people that are fighting for our country and saving lives that don't get paid as much. People are doing things for our country that matter more than just our entertainment of a sports game.

Forty-five people die every day from opioid prescription painkillers, which is more deaths than heroin and cocaine overdoses combined. Prescriptions to pain medications are leading to addictions, overdoses, and deaths throughout America. Painkillers are being handed out for subjective statements, post surgery pain, and injuries without further testing or trying alternatives first. This problem is affecting doctors, pharmacies and hospitals because once somebody gets addicted they turn around and attempt to sue. Instead of worrying about irrelevant news, further studies should be done to find healthier and safer alternatives to opioids that work just as well. Doctors should hand out more alternatives to painkillers, people should be informed of the issues of being prescribed a pain medication, and there should be greater punishments for abusers. Therefore, higher standards should be set for someone to be prescribed pain medication due to the problems with easy access and addiction.

Drones should be used in the military because of the fact, it saves hundreds of lives not only in the battlefield but on the home land. Henry Arnold in WW2 claimed that we would be using drone warfare in the future. Henry said “ In future years the battlefield will have unmanned drones with heavy weapons”. The usage of drones is slowly becoming less common because of the use of nuclear warfare. The Obama administration did not want to use the drones they wanted it gone, but it saves lives everywhere. President Bush first introduced them to the battlefield to keep our men in the middle east safe.

Every athlete and bodybuilder has an enemy, whether they know it or not. However this enemy is not always a person. Overtraining will stop all of your progress and will sabotage your hard earned gains. If you are an athlete then you need to avoid overtraining in order to keep a constant flow of progress, or else you will no longer have an edge or get an edge on anybody. Many people believe that the harder you train, the better the gains. This isn’t always the case. When you train too often, or too long, you won’t gain muscle. It’s deceiving. You will gain muscle for a period of time and then your body won’t be able to take the punishment and you won’t gain any muscle. It isn’t worth spending hours training for nothing. You could very well happen so quickly that you won’t even see it coming. These are among the last of things that you want when training, the only things worse being injury and death. Overtraining syndrome isn’t the only thing you have to worry about either, Overtraining can easily lead to injury. In other words you should probably avoid overtraining.

It’s important to discuss, because there is school violence everywhere. Whether it’s bullying or to school shooting. You don’t see school shooting that often, but it’s never a bad idea because what if it does happen to your school? What will you do then, where is you safe haven? When it comes to bullying and kids getting into fights or arguing with the teachers. You need to know how to protect yourself and the teachers need a back bone and know how to stick up for them-self. What happens to students when violence is involved in their education. How school violence violence affects the students at home as well as school. How we could lower school violence to make it stop. Alcohol takes a lot people including families and family members. I believe that the drinking age should stay the same or at least be highered.

“In the matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.” - Albert Einstein. In today's America we tend to put the small problems to the side and not think about them. We see hate crimes everyday yet not all of them are reported by news teams, and they are against all different kinds of races. We need to put humans first before any race as Albert said “for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.” This topic is important to discuss because we are slowly tearing each other apart, for the most ignorant reasons. We believe that women are inferior, that the color of your skin determines if you are to be treated worse. The history of racism and social injustice has spanned back since before the country was even founded. The roots of this senseless act are what have divided humans everywhere. You must look at our leadership today and ask yourself, will these people help? We must look to our leaders to make a change and difference in the country we live in. Not only is this a racism topic, but sexism and gender equality have recently been recognized as a big issue! It is my belief, that America is under attack from the evils of injustice acts that are happening everyday. Women are still recovering from the years of not being granted certain rights. Hispanic, African American, and other fellow Americans are being besieged by this endless war on racism leading to the following question. Is America heading towards a disastrous ending by destroying itself from the inside out?

The government has always tried to push more towards gun control, they are now pushing harder than ever due to all the recent mass shootings. The Texas mass shooting marked the 307th mass shooting in 2017. The problem is not the guns or the access to guns, it’s the demented psychopaths who get their hands on a gun. Some people might say that it is to easy to get your hands on a gun, that is not the case. Everyone who purchases a gun through a gun store has to pass a background check. Gun stores will not sell you a gun if you do not pass a background check. Even if a person may pass a background check that doesn't always mean they aren't crazy and should own a gun. 79% of crimes committed involved a gun that was illegally obtained or stolen, so trying to improve background checks will not make it harder for a person trying to commit a crime.

Mental Illness is something that has always been apart of society. Most people suffer from some sort of mental Illness. Whether that be depression, anxiety, or even schizophrenia. The one thing we can do is try to understand people with mental illness. Don't judge them. Don't make them feel like they aren't human. Throwing medication at them or therapy is not gonna work or help them in the way that they need. We also need to take the time to find the closest thing to a cure as we can. “ I don't know about a cure. Some things cannot be cured, but I think human treatment, I think creative treatments, is where we should go as a community, as a nation, and as a world” (Susan, 1) Sometimes the best thing for people is to know someone is there for them and to have someone who tries to understand who they are and what they are going through.

Does Ocarina of time make me violent? Before starting this paper I asked myself this question, After some thought and giggles I decided that no, it doesn’t. I grew up playing SSB (Super Smash bros.) on the Nintendo 64, in which you play as characters made by Nintendo and fight other Nintendo characters. I bring this up because i’ve had experience with video games in my life, so much so that they are almost the main focus of my time, so I feel that my opinion is somewhat valid. I believe that video games do not cause people to be more violent or aggressive. This topic to me, is in need of clarification especially to parents or legal guardians who think video games are “too violent”, or “it could negatively impact my child”. Video games can do alot more good than bad. Video games don’t cause the consumer to be more violent or aggressive. It’s not the game that makes or inspires someone to commit violent acts.
