He wanted to see how certain instructional practices were important and how the students react to them. His conclusion was that its hard to switch gears from subject to another within minutes of one another and having to focus on completely different subjects in such a short period of time. he stated that what he found helpful was that the teachers never gave the answers , but helped guide students to them and provided feedback. It allowed for Mr. Taylor to examine what type of social and emotional issues the students may have been expressing or may have concerns with. I think its important more for me as a parent because as my child gets older and takes on more responsibilities while in school, I want to see how they react both socially and emotionally. The pressures of taking on so much change throughout the day can be daunting on some children if they do not have the right structure around them. My concern was and is that changing the subjects so much in a short amount of time can burn some children out and adults, but cause them to not want to learn anymore and give up. That's why I feel its important to gauge the child's interactions with there peers, teachers and at home.
