Analysis: In this quote the reader can see that Russ Washington is clearly conflicted about who he really is. analysis: Finley is conflicted with the fact that if he becomes good friends with Russ, and shows him around the school that russ (aka Boy21) will end up taking his position in the basketball team. however, he knows that russ could use a true friend.

Finley thinks Boy1 will be very excited to see this move since he says he is a prototype sent to earth from outer space and seems to think he is not an earthling. Russ has a strong reaction to the movie and runs right out of the movie theater. right before he yells

analysis: This quote and scene relate to the conflict Russ aka Boy21 has with fate because he is having a tough time accepting his parent's death. The movie reminds him of when his father took him to Florida to see the spaceship Discovery launch for his 15th birthday. analysis The conflict is clear between coach and Finley to get russ to play for the team when Finley knows that if he does do it he will most likely lose his starting position. When they got there There visitation was denied by the nurse saying that erin is only allowing her parents to visit. In hopes of Erin changing her mind Finley and his father stay and eat at the cafeteria.

Analysis: This quote relates to the conflict of the character versus society because Finley has this idea that he is safe not considering the fact that Erins attack was most likely targeted, meaning anyone close to erin is in danger of having the same done to them. Finley still being confused he notices a letter and he knew it was from Erin. The letter was Erin expressing how much she missed him and how this is the way they will be out of Belmont. Finley is supper happened but is faced with a very hard choice of what he should do? leave his family in belmont and not see them again or go to New hampshire with the love of his life.

Analysis: This quote relates to the conflict of character versus self because Finley not only has to make a rash choice but also firm one because he can never undo his choice. Finley has a lot of pressure on himself internally by how he is in love with Erin and always dreamed about leaving Belmont, but not the way that is happening right now in the book. The out come of each choice obviously has cons by if he goes with erin he will risk not ever seeing the 2 people that raised him. Not going with erin is 2+ years in belmont and not ever being in contact with erin, he loses the one person he has ever loved.

Analysis: This quote correlates with the conflict of character Vs society because when ross says he has extraterrestrial powers its odd for a seminly human boy to ask such an out of the ordinary question. Analysis: In this quote we can see how Russ really does take into consideration what Finley's input is. This question he asks Finley shows the he know his abilities in basketball are really good by how he refers to his skill as "extraterrestrial powers"  he describes this question to finley the way he does so he won't get hurt.

Analysis: This quote relates to the conflict by how Finley in his early years he was told to never talk about his mother  nor what happened to her. Finley feels like if he speaks about his mother he is breaking a "rule".
