SJSU's President would like to enter SJSU into a decorated pumpkin contest and would like to use a design by one of our students. For the design selected, the President's Office will cover costs and offer a $500 award to that student!

Background
The President is taking part in Silicon Valley Council of Nonprofit's Annual Be Our Guest event. Part of his participation is creating a decorated pumpkin that people can bid on to support the nonprofit community. Here are past examples (2021, 2019). You can see there's a variety of different designs (political, seasonal, pop culture, etc). You can see Councilman Peralez made one of a SJSU Football helmet here. 

Submit Your Design for Consideration
President Perez would like to submit one that is student created. He is willing to cover the costs of the supplies (pumpkin, paint, etc) and offer a $500 award to the person who creates the pumpkin. He would like a pumpkin that captures some aspect of SJSU's culture, history, and/or values. Interested parties need to submit their designs to Edwin Tan by next Friday (October 7) at 1pm for President Perez to review.
