REP is a place to discuss, understand, and empower different ethnic backgrounds, be exposed to real-world issues, and to have conversations that unify the students at Brooks. This will hopefully create an environment where students can learn and discuss racial issues to move towards a more progressive and inclusive school.
Meetings: We will have bi-weekly meetings where students can learn about different topics regarding race and discuss these movements/policies with their peers. We will host informational sessions, discussions for important conversations, and personal experience nights. We also plan to host events to raise money towards other organizations such as Color of Change, Women of Color Against Violence, NAACP, and many more as well as attend (virtual for now!) conferences or events regarding racial injustice.
Who can join: We are not an affinity group! We are an organization. We want all students of all backgrounds to be able to be a part of our organization in order to create a place where everybody is fighting for equality.
When we meet: Depending on the size of our group, we will either be hybrid (both online and in-person) or completely on Zoom!

In Future Medicine, there will be organized zoom calls with medical professionals in different specialties to discuss; their experiences in the field, developments, and the future direction of medicine. These calls will last around 20-40 minutes and will take place about once a month. There will also be a short 20 minute discussion session where I will bring up new and popular topics in the medical field such as the potential for a covid vaccine, and there will be an open space for people to share things that they might know about the topic. There will also be opportunities to share your knowledge about summer programs related to medicine which others could be interested in. I am open to any suggestions from members so that I could incorporate what interests them.

Meetings: We will meet over zoom whenever I can get a speaker to come and talk to us and then ask questions. Meetings will last 20-40 min depending on the speaker. Also we will meet hopefully weekly but maybe just every other week to have a short 20 min open discussion.
Student leader: Adam Jac

Faculty Leaders: Mrs. Mandzhukova

Google doc sign up:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/122ExYyMi9FUjq74JIISj2om53CFnrzKKqWF7FXiwfVo/edit?usp=sharing
